Sen. James Inhofe (R OK)
Senator James Inhofe (R OK) is calling for a Senate investigation into global warming science in light of disclosures from the CRU e-mails.
“[I am calling for an investigation of] the IPCC and on the United Nations on the way that they cooked the science to make this thing look as if the science was settled, when all the time of course we knew it was not,” Senator Inhofe said in a radio interview on the Washington Times America's Morning Show.
This is not the first time Senator Inhofe has spoken out about global warming. In 2005 on the Senate floor, Inhofe decried “the systematic and documented abuse of the scientific process by an international body that claims it provides the most complete and objective scientific assessment in the world on the subject of climate change – the United Nations-sponsored Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC.” He was roundly criticized for this statement. Today, it looks like he has been vindicated.
Of course, the whole notion that there is a consensus on global warming and that it is settled science has been bogus since it was first claimed. In science, consensus doesn't mean anything, only facts matter. Everybody agreed that the sun went around the earth until Nicolaus Copernicus showed the world that they were wrong. Today we know that the consensus opinion in 1543 was wildly wrong, and it only took one man to point out the error.
There is no shortage of dissent when it comes to global warming. A U.S. Senate Minority Report lists more than 700 scientists who dissent over man-made global warming. In 2007, 20 or more scientists reject the fear mongering over seal level rises on Senator Inhofe's blog. It is not difficult to find well credentialed scientists who disagree with the so-called consensus, for instance, Fred Singer, PhD, and Ian Plimer, PhD. It is not difficult to locate dissenting views on the Internet.
Even avid promoters of global warming alarmism such as Germany's Der Spiegel reluctantly admit that there has been no warming since 1999. This is in stark contrast to predictions produced by the computer models promoted by the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
The problems with the global warming theory continue to mount. Mother nature simply isn't listening to the alarmists. And now we have evidence that data is being ignored, hidden and or manipulated by one of the most prestigious climate research centers in the world - the Climate Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, U.K.
It is long past time that the world took a deep breath, told Al (Henny Penny) Gore to sit down and be quiet while global warming theory undergoes a sober assessment. So let us hope that Senator Inhofe is successful and a serious investigation is undertaken by the U.S. Senate.
We need to take a hard look at this theory before we commit to trillions in taxation and the accompanying economic damage by proposals in U.S. Senate and in Copenhagen.

And after the investigation, Inhofe will preside over a convention of the Flat Earth Society.
It's unnecessary for congress to investigate. The AP could just pull a few hundred of its fact checkers off of Palin's "Going Rogue" and turn them loose on all those emails.
Why only the GOP? Everyone should care about the truth not the politics of this. Either way, Its no surprise they try to hide dissenting evidence. They only care about their own self interest in job security, taxpayer and private financing, expanding, resources, etc. They of course would try to make claims a bigger deal than the truth. It is in their self interest to do so. Mixing global warming radicals with politics makes for a catastrophe.
Mr. Gorbachev has found in the international global-warming movement the instrument to pursue his global utopia. As founding president of Green Cross International in Geneva, an environmental umbrella group with 21 affiliates worldwide, Mr. Gorbachev's green rhetoric still sounds decidedly red: "We need a new system of values, a system of the organic unity between mankind and nature and the ethic of global responsibility."
Power and control is the name of the game. It is like their religion of control over the masses.
Why are the hacked CRU emails not on the front pages of every newspaper on the planet ?
Why, on the eve of the Dec 10 09 Copenhagen climate summit, is news of deceit and fraud by a scheming community of scientific professionals and climatologists manipulating data using algorithms to forge the now infamously deceitful Al Gore’s Hockey-Stick graph - instead relegated to the last page of the National Post, while the G&M, Vanc Sun and Prov are all tacitly silent ?

It gives perspective to remember Gore is first and foremost a politician, so he had a lot of practise keeping a straight face telling the same lies over and over, while reaping profits from film sales at $40 / copy.
I truly look forward to Gore’s explanation of the very “Inconvenient Truth’s” posited in hacked CRU emails, which all verify facts recently noted in an Oct 09 YouTube release featuring a climate dissenting Nobel Laureate – Lord Monckton, who offers further insight to Gore’s wind-fall financial status as the first multi-billionaire carbon offset trading schemer, and the use of forged climate models to enact world governance.

If Richard Colvin’s report of Afghan detainee torture rates being termed as “explosive”, the magnitude of smoking-guns in leaked or hacked CRU emails is truly a mushroom cloud in proportion, landing squarely as egg on the face of attendees of the Copenhagen climate summit and Obama’s Nobel Prize, both equal in notoriety for scientific or political fraud, UAV murders in the ME and malfeassor’s of the planet generally.

Is the CRU leak really a surprise, shock or anything new in science, law, accoUnting, policing or politics ??
Manipulating data to distort facts, deleting digital evidence and forged reports are standard operating procedures of corporate, professional, police and political psychopaths to maintain power and control in every circle they influence. Mulroney takes cash in envelopes, while friends of Premier Campbell gorge in the public purse with single-source low-bid, no ceiling contracts grossly inflated for 2010 completion, dilatory tactics to protract litigation - denying access to Basi Virk emails Campbell deleted by “accident”, RCM and other police dispensing lethal force then forging plausible deniability reports, which is presented to a hand-picked jurist, selected to protect and preserve public “ignorance”, by refusing to apply precedents against fellow members at bar caught committing ethical violations, torts, crimes, manslaughter or murder.

The AGW crowd always maintained the science was unbiased and as pure as summer rain. Most free thinking people with life experience saw otherwise. No doubt their motives were honorable at first, then human nature kicked and their egos got the best of them. It became us against them, win at all cost. No doubt they will try and justify their behavior right to the bitter end.
Just as the prosecutor in the David Millgard case stated when confronted with clear evidence "The integrity of the justice system is at stake, it's more important than one man"
