A new Facebook application allows users to send free Walt Disney World gifts to their Facebook friends. The more free gifts users send, the more new gifts they can unlock with the Facebook application.
These virtual gifts are online photographs of classic Disney attractions ranging from the Dumbo ride in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom to clubs at the now defunct Pleasure Island at Downtown Disney. Facebook users can access the free Disney gifts application by entering "Disney World Gifts" in the Facebook search engine. Sent gifts will appear on users' profile and home pages.
Sending virtual Facebook gifts involves sharing certain user information with the gift application. Facebook users can choose to reject the gift if they do not want to provide the Disney gift application with access to personal information.
