The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) has finally launched an online reservation system, allowing members to research and book vacations more easily than ever before.
According to the Disney Vacation Club Neighborhood News, DVC members simply log in to the official DVC Web site and follow the online prompts to make reservations for the Disney resort of their choice using DVC points. Members can view vacancies, compare points, reserve villas, and request to be added to waitlists when appropriate.
The new DVC online reservation system is similar to the online reservation system that debuted at Walt Disney World in 2009, enabling guests to make hotel and dining reservations without having to go through a Disney reservations agent. Now members can plan vacations without having to pore over hard copies of point lists or spend time on the phone, although members may still make reservations over the phone as well.
Using the new DVC online reservation system is simple. After logging in to the DVC Web site, a reservation link should appear. If the online reservation link does not appear upon log in, DVC members are advised to log out, close their Internet browser, and try again. Capacity limits and technical issues could make it difficult to access the system during the initial launch phase, but with time, the DVC online reservation system should place the World at members' fingertips.
