Disney's Mobile Magic application gives wait times, maps & more.
Walt Disney World and Disneyland have nearly completed the internal infrastructure required to launch the first official Disney Parks mobile application, Mobile Magic.
According to the official Disney Parks Blog, the downloadable application places current Disney Parks information in the palm of your hand, including updated ride and attraction wait times, FASTPASS information, character greeting times and locations, and GPS maps that make it easier to navigate the parks.
The Mobile Magic application is designed for Verizon Wireless subscribers, but non-subscribers can also access park information through texts and the Disney Parks Mobile Web site, which is expected to go live soon.
Mobile Magic is theme park sensitive. For example, guests can access official park information for Magic Kingdom rides and attractions while they visit that park, but the Mobile Magic application will not provide updated information on Disney World's other three theme parks while they are outside of those parks. Specific Disney theme park information is sent directly to Verizon Wireless customers while they frequent that particular park.
Mobile Magic will make it easier for Disney World and Disneyland guests to coordinate their activities with accurate park information. The Disney Parks report that the Mobile Magic application will be available soon.

I have a niece, Brinn Black, she is a singer/songwriter in her senior year at Nashville. She has been picked as the ONLY COUNTRY SINGER to go to the largest music conference in France in January.
We need donations, buy a cd, or i tune. Or, if you can be a corporate sponsor, you will get loads of exposure as she will be your representative. Her resume is outstanding and her music is fantastic. Help her get there, $10,000 is needed to create new album and for expenses. $10,000 is not much compared to what others are spending for the opportunity. please reply or retweet this. Thanks so much. I have a niece that worked for Disney in her early years. She is now a senior at Nashville. Her name is Brinn Black. She has been chosen to go to france for the largest musical festival/conference.
She is the only Country Singer selected to represent American Country Music. We need donations, buy a cd, a itune, but most important a sponsor. $10,000 would get her there with a new CD AND the sponsor will get loads of exposure in front of Millions of people. Check out Brinn Black on Facebook, Twitter, or go to BRINNBLACKMANAGEMENT@GMAIL.COM.
Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated.

I own a live sound production company, but I don't feel the need to spam it into web comment areas.
On topic again:
I guess this is the concept that Disney will use to replace PAL Mickey. I bought my PAL Mickey during my 2007 WDW trip. Lots of fun, but kind of limited, but since it was upgradable(not anymore!), it had loads of potential. I guess with GPS capable cell phones and apps being small and cheap(or free), I guess it makes sense to appeal to the masses with their cell phones rather than expect a guest to plonk down darn near $70 on a plush crammed full of electronics and get much less features. But at least my PAL Mickey still works at home and can still entertain the kids.
On my last Disneyland trip, I used many of the free iPhone apps for line waits. I found them to be very useful, especially when more people participate. But if Disney can broadcast out the same information, even better!
