Brain surgeon busted for giving consultations at Disney World's Grand Floridian Resort

A brain surgeon screened patients in Disney World's Grand Floridian lobby.

Dr. Paolo Bolognese, a Long Island brain surgeon, gave free consultations in the lobby of the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa at Walt Disney World for at least two consecutive years--without a license to practice medicine in Florida. Orlando residents and others waited in line for his advice inside the deluxe Disney hotel, according to the New York Daily News.

Kristin Keene, an Orlando resident, told the Daily News that she had an hour-long consultation with Bolognese in 2005. She said the surgeon compared her brain to Baywatch star Pamela Anderson's breasts...at age 60, and without a bra.

What disturbed the mother of two more than Bolognese's language was the revelation (after the consultation) that Bolognese was not licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida. New York State health officials are currently investigating Bolognese, who also faces lawsuits for performing unnecessary surgeries for financial gain, according to the Daily News.

For more information, see the complete article on Bolognese in the New York Daily News.
