Do you believe that dreams really do come true? This Friday, July 3, dreams will come true at Walt Disney World for more than 1000 immigrants as they are sworn in as U.S. citizens during a naturalization ceremony scheduled to take place on Main Street, U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom!

Hosted by Disney Parks and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the ceremony will take place in front of Cinderella Castle where citizens from more than 100 countries, ages 18 to 82, will swear the Oath of Allegiance to the United States in what is sure to be an emotional event for all those in attendance.

The ceremony will be presided over by the highest ranking official of the USCIS and begin with a welcoming address from Meg Crofton, President of Walt Disney World.  Following will be the presentation of colors; the national anthem; the Oath of Allegiance; and finally the Pledge of Allegiance. In addition to this line-up, one star spangled moment will mark this occasion when actor, Andy Garcia, a naturalized citizen from Cuba, delivers the keynote address in what will be an inspiring speech for all.

After the ceremony concludes, these brand new citizens of the United States will celebrate their citizenry and attend the premiere of the brand new show at the Hall of Presidents where the attraction's newest Audio Animatronics member, President Barack Obama, will make his debut.  Read more.

In a press release from Walt Disney World News, Ms. Crofton's states “This year, Disney parks are asking our visitors, ‘What will you celebrate?’ And on a weekend when our entire nation celebrates its independence, we are honored to host – and celebrate – 1,000 individuals who are embracing American citizenship.”

Unfortunately, the ceremony, which begins around 8:00 a.m. is closed to regular guests but I am sure the celebrating will continue for quite sometime.  Come out and welcome these dreamers, these newest citizens of the United States of America, in what will surely be a memorable, triumphant, and emotional celebration for all!

    Hi Suzanne,
Thanks so much for reading and writing. The ceremony begins around 8:00 a.m. but it is closed to regular guests as I just found out. I am sorry for the confusion.

I am a cast member. My manager will be naturalized in this ceremony. My husband and I would like to attend. Is it possible?
