Disney's Animal Kingdom to test centralized Fastpass location at Walt Disney World

In its continuing efforts to exceed Guests' expectations, Walt Disney World is trying something new out at the Animal Kingdom park – a centralized Fastpass distribution center located in the middle of the park and convenient to everyone no matter where they may be.

Located at the base of the Tree of Life, the "It's a Bug's Life" Fastpass distribution kiosks have been modified to now offer Fastpasses for the three most popular theme park attractions: Dinosaur, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and Expedition Everest. But don't worry, you'll still find Fastpass kiosks at the individual locations as well.

For those of you who are not familiar with Fastpass, this is "the ticket" to bypass all of those long lines at the most popular attractions in all of the theme parks.  You simply insert your theme park ticket into the kiosk and it will generate a new Fastpass ticket with a window of time imprinted on it.  Don't worry, your original ticket is promptly returned.  When the time comes, you then return to the attraction, find the "Fastpass re-entry" line, and breeze your way up to the front of the line!  Oh what a feeling!

If successful, you will see this program rolled out to the other parks as well. It's another great improvement at the Disney parks to allow guests to make the most of their visit! Thank you Walt Disney World!

FINALLY!!! Hug step in the right direction. Luv FastPass! Now I won't have 2 walk ALL over the park 2 get a FastPass. Of course, I'm sure Disney will improve the Central FastPass by adding RETURN times.

I agree this sounds like a great new idea. I hope this catches on and gets implemented at all their other parks. Now, if the FastPass sytem would be smart enough to say "Hey, you already have a pass for this, so we'll give you a FastPass for the other ride you wanted at a different time" so people don't have to go back quite so often.
