Copenhagen conference will produce an agreement that leads to a treaty that Obama will sign

In October a video was released describing a climate change conference that is being held in Copenhagen where President Obama will attend.  Many people seemed concerned that the proposed treaty would be a large step towards one world government.

However a few weeks later, it was announced Obama would not attend the conference because the US had nothing to offer at this time. It seems Obama was counting on the Cap and Trade bill passing. What he wasn't counting on was the Competitive Enterprise Institute obtaining documents that would railroad his plans to quickly and quietly ram the Waman-Markey bill through Congress. It did pass the house, but then the document became public.  The document obtained was one written for Obama's transition team and stated "Economic costs will likely be on the order of 1 percent of GDP, making them equal in scale to all existing environmental regulation."  What this means is the average household would incur approximately $1800.00 per year in higher utility costs.  This was not what Speaker Pelosi wanted us to see, so this bill has stalled and his trip to Copenhagen was postponed.

But Obama has changed his mind again and Copenhagen is back on. He travelled to China last week and apparently has a deal with them that include serious commitments to reduce carbon emmissions. And a top UN official has predicted success in Copenhagen, with a formal treaty to follow within six months.  So it seems we have a slight delay but the treaty is still on the table.

On a side note, the new European Union President Herman van Rompuy said last week, "The climate conference in Copenhagen is another step toward the global management of our planet."  This statement only mirrors what Lord Monckton stated in his warning for America two months ago. But is anybody even listening?

The LORD has sent his messenger to the nations, and we have heard his message: “Get ready! Let us go to war against Edom!” The LORD says to Edom, “I will make you weak; everyone will despise you. Your pride has deceived you. Your capital is a fortress of solid rock; your home is high in the mountains, and so you say to yourself, ‘who can ever pull me down?’ Even though you make your home as high as an eagle’s nest, so that it seems to be among the stars, yet I will pull you down.

“When thieves come at night, they take only what they want. When people gather grapes, they always leave a few. But your enemies have wiped you out completely. Descendants of Esau, your treasures have been looted. Your allies have deceived you; they have driven you from your country. People who were at peace with you have now conquered you. Those friends who ate with you have laid a trap for you; they say of you, ‘where is all that cleverness he had?’

“On the day I punish Edom, I will destroy their clev
