Blacksburg, VA -- According to the football coaching blog footballcoachscoop.com, the Richmond Spiders are going to talk with Virginia Tech offensive coordinator Bryan Stinespring.
The report, dated Thursday, Dec. 10, said that University of Richmond Athletics Director Jim Miller was going to talk with Stinespring, who has been heavily criticized by factions of Virginia Tech football fans.
Stinespring's offenses at Virginia Tech have ranked 55th, 99th, 100th and 103rd in the last four years, which has been a point of contention for Hokie fans. Despite the criticism, head coach Frank Beamer, who's know for his fierce loyalty to his coaching staff, has defended his offensive coordinator.
When asked by a Daily Press sports writer about the report, Stinespring declined to comment.
