Plant found growing inside Massachusetts man's lung and 2-inch tree in Russian man's lung

As doctor was probing a dark spot on Sveden's lung, he encountered an encrusted mass that did not look like tumor. Dr. Spillane sent it to a pathologist for analysis, who identified it as a vegetable. Dr. Spillane joked, “A couple days in a dark, wet environment, I’d sprout too.” Russian Sidorkin must have inhaled a seed, which later sprouted into a small fir tree inside his lung.
