This is unbelievable, I'm only halfway through. O'Reilly is the first journalist I've seen to attempt to treat the President as his equal or even subordinate in an interview. Obama seems prepared and polished, however.
I enjoy the candid and quick paced conversation.
Proud of this President. O'Reilly tried to divert the conversation to the negative but President Obama kept it in his court, which in my view is positive. I applaud President Obama for rising about O'Reily's ploys.
Bill O'Reilly is a richly paid political hack who distorts the truth and plays loose with imagery. He is dangerous by himself, and coupled with the steady lies of all Fox's commentators, leads a team of media infamy.

Fox also showed photos of a tea party rally that was faked. The event happened in the fall when the leaves were turning and the photo they showed was from a different rally in Washington taken when all the leaves were green.

It there is negativity towards the President, Fox leads the charge, and sustains it daily! Fox exposes the US and international public to gross falsehoods that are destructive to the USA and to other nations' wellbeing. Ethics in reporting and journalism are extinct at FOX.

I wouldn't consider O'reilly a journalist at all... A journalist -according to any deontological charter- seek for the truth not to fulfill an agenda, and have the absolute duty to correct falsehoods not to propagate them...

There are literally thousands of other examples. The talking heads on Fox are given specific lies by producers to aggregate on air. A good friend of mine just resigned from Fox last fall. After working in the New York studio for 4 years, he'd finally had enough and chose to leave.

Bill O'Reilly's most passionate moment was when he used the words "they HATE you". And I think that about sums it up with regard to O'Reilly's intentions. As always, Mr. Obama managed to rise above it and maintain the high road. Even in the casual setting, nothing less than presidential.
Well Mr. O' Reilly, It was just as I anticipated, a nothing interview. You were in "la, la land with this President. He had you wrapped in his spell of Balony Sausage and you just sat there. You just don't want to be out of "grace" with Obama. Your media "blitz" should of come from "Chris Mattews" it would of been more fitting! Two big dollar guys getting together to permote their own interest!

Truly a destructive propaganda front masquerading as a news outlet. I thought it was a stretch to say Palin caused the Tuscon shooting, besides FOX is a better target for such blame. FOX incites fear, hate and intolerance in it's viewers, misinforms, misrepresents, and conveys a more highly agitated and volatile America than it actually is. It's true I'm NOT an Obama supporter, in fact, I totally do not approve of the President. However, I think for the first time in his presidency, he may have held his own. Usually, he's not the sharpest tack, but he did a fair job in answering. Still, I think, he's a bit wishy-washy on his "distribution of wealth" comments. I remember with Joe the plumber, he was totally for RESTRIBUTION, so his back-peddling is a little annoying.

@Karen, Joe the plumber was with the McCain/Palin side so I do not see the President back-peddling.
Not the point - ie, what side the plumber was on. The point is, the President said he's NOT for redistribution of wealth in the interview with Bill. But, he most certainly is. He covers his butt a lot, depending on who the interview is with - that's the point.
He didn't say he wanted to redistribute wealth. He said he'd like to spread it around. Meaning allowing everyone to get his share, not taking it from others. Also, most Tea-Baggers and Fox listeners are always saying that they want our country to be like they envisioned it. But one of the things they had a great fear and dislike of was great wealth concentrated into just a few hands, as is now happening. Obama didn't say redistribute the wealth, but the Founders might have.
Gee Karen, are you afraid they are going to redistrubute your welath or are you doing the dirty work for the top 2%? It is called a progressive tax and it needs to get back to the 50% range for top earners.
