New Rock Band/Rock Band Beatles content revealed

Do you like Rock Band?  Are you looking forward to Rock Band: The Beatles?  Have we got some good news for you...

Today, during the Gamescon event in Germany, Harmonix and MTV Games revealed the first full three downloadable albums that are coming out for The Beatles: Rock Band.  As previously announced, they are Abbey Road (due in October), Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (due in November), and Rubber Soul (due in December).  The songs are as follows...

Abbey Road

"Come Together"

"Something"

"Maxwell's Silver Hammer"

"Oh! Darling"

"Octopus' Garden"

"I Want You (She's So Heavy)"

"Here Comes the Sun"

"Because"

"You Never Give Me Your Money"

"Sun King"

"Mean Mr. Mustard"

"Polythene Pam"

"She Came In Through the Bathroom Window"

"Golden Slumbers"

"Carry That Weight"

"The End"

"Her Majesty"

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"

"With a Little Help From My Friends"

"Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds"

"Getting Better"

"Fixing a Hole"

"She's Leaving Home"

"Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite"

"Within You Without You"

"When I'm Sixty Four"

"Lovely Rita"

"Good Morning Good Morning"

"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)"

"A Day In the Life"

Rubber Soul

"Drive My Car"

"Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)"

"You Won't See Me"

"Nowhere Man"

"Think For Yourself"

"The Word"

"Michelle"

"What Goes On"

"Girl"

"I'm Looking Through You"

"In My Life"

"Wait"

"If I Needed Someone"

"Run For Your Life"

You can buy the songs individually for $1.99 (160 Microsoft points) apiece, or get albums in full for $16.98 (1,360 Microsoft points).  Keep in mind that some of these songs are already included in The Beatles: Rock Band game.  We're guessing that Harmonix is including them in these albums for completion's sake.

In addition, "All You Need Is Love" will be available exclusively through Xbox Live on September 9th, the same day the game releases.  It'll set you back $1.99 (160 Microsoft points), and all proceeds benefit the Doctors Without Borders foundation.

Harmonix hasn't forgotten about fans of the original Rock Band, however.  Downloadable content is on the way throughout 2009, with packs coming from such artists as Nirvana, Queen, Tom Petty, Elton John, The White Stripes, Iggy Pop, Pantera (no longer limited to Rock Revolution, thank God), Talking Heads, Korn, The Raconteurs and more.  More info will come in the weeks ahead, but fans of the game should be rocking well through the end of the year.

I read on another site that the Abbey Road medley can be played as individual tracks or as one track. To me, that alone is worth the full album price.
