Sega: Too late to change Yakuza's 3 box art

Yakuza 3 box art.

Sega recently revealed the official North American box art for Yakuza 3. The design drew immediate backlash from fans, especially when compared to the original Japanese version.

Unfortunately, it looks like Sega won’t be changing the box art. Aaron Webber, the Assistant Community Manager of Sega of America, stated in the comments section of the Playstation.Blog that it is too late to change the box art for Yakuza 3 despite getting “a lot of community responses” over the subject.

Yakuza 3 will be released on March 9th for the Playstation 3.

How about a little context. What's wrong with the box art. I don't know what the Japanese version looked like nor why this version is causing controversy.
