The Street Fighter and Tekken cross-over games of Street Fighter x Tekken from Capcm and Tekken x Street Fighter from Namco for the PS3 and Xbox 360 were announced earlier today during a panel at Comic-Con. Capcom ended the presentation with a slide saying Street Fighter x Tekken was a way off and to enjoy Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds until then. So when should we expect Namco's take on the cross-over?
Game Director and Chief Producer of the Tekken series may have some bad news on the wait. He informed fans from his Twitter account that, "TK x SF (namco ver.) is a way off so let's focus on SF x TK."
This pretty much confirms that the two games won't be released at the same time which makes sense. While there is a bit of a friendly rivalry between Capcom and Namco with their two fighting games, they wouldn't want to release the two at the same time and cannibalize sales off each other. With Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two World scheduled for a Spring 2011 release, we'd expect Street Fighter x Tekken to be released no earlier than late 2011. Tekken x Street Fighter will likely see a release sometime later in 2012.

i wonder how it would play out, they are completly different fighting games. A great side scrolling fighter, vs well tekken (dunno the name of the style lol) Are they gonna speed up the pace for tekken and have it a side scrolling fight? Or slow down the pace for SF with more wide ranged selection of grapple combos.
They are make 2 separate games...capcom will be using their control schemes for street fight nd namco for their game their control scheme for tekken.

Lets stick to 2D fighter and 3D fighter.....
