If you have even played Modern Warfare 2 in the past few months or if you keep up with the daily happenings of the games industry, you will sure to have experienced first-hand or at least heard of all the glitches that have plagued the online portion of the game since Day One. Unfortunately for many, some of those glitches, even the prominent ones, are back, stronger than ever, and you may may be surprised to find out which ones.
Somehow, people have figured out another way to make these glitches happen, and we haven't heard anything back from Infinity Ward about them. There are lobbies that allow the same sort of suicide bombing, but rather than with a Javelin, people are having Semtex grenades explode upon their deaths. Another odd glitch is one known as the "Equipment Glitch." This glitch, although pretty harmless, lets the culprit shoot bullets, of any gun they choose, while holding equipment; most commonly the tactical insertion.
The most prominent, and most common of the glitches that have made their way back onto the playing field is the infamous, "Ice Skating Glitch." This glitch allows players to sprint throughout maps at unbelievable speeds, as though they are "Ice Skating." These lobbies are popping up absolutely everywhere, and they are troubling. Just tonight, 1/3 matches I joined contained people glitching, and it is getting on my nerves. I also noticed that many other people were angry with the number of glitches they had to play through, and now experiencing them again, thats enough to turn anyone off of a game; even Modern Warfare 2.

Comments like that are just so stupid it leaves me speechless.....people have a right to play without some punk cheating.....the glitches I'm the program are errors, to say don't play is stupid....the fix is IW repairing their errors
I have been entering a fair few "Ice Skating" lobbies within the last week, and I also encountered a bunch of new glitches... Well probably hacks would be a more suitable label, that I hadn't seen before, one person had what I named "Thermal Screen"(hadn't seen or heard of it before, and I deemed that as an appropriate name) which allowed him to have Thermal Vision, even whilst firing from the hip, or Iron/Red Dot Sights. In the same game, there was another person who was able to carry 3 Weapons, an Intervention FMJ, Akimbo M9s and a Golden Desert Eagle from CoD4. And, again in the same lobby, there was someone who had Red Tiger Camoflauge on his AA-12, they weren't really game ruining glitches/hacks but still pretty crazy that they can happen regardless.
I also don't think these new glitches will ever be fixed, seeing as the two heads from IW got fired, it's looking like the game could be on it's last legs.
These aren't found on Playstation Network. The only glitches I've seen since day one are infinite airdrop and javelin glitches, both of which have been fixed.

It's not lie... I've been like in 3 matches of iceskating around 40 matches on S&D... so, yes there are some glitches, but no, not so many... at least for now...
by the way you forgot to mention that there 10th prestige glitched and golden desert eagle in some classes...
And i would say that the leaderboards on this MW2 just suck... they shoulded let them like in COD4...

Not being funny but thats just BS. The country that holds the servers is the starter of Glitches, and that is the USA. So i can't see how you came up with that. Also remember when it is HOST that starts these gliches/hack, and USA are the HOSTS of that game 90% of the time,.

Yeah.. if you dont like it this way (like me) then just buy Bad Company 2.. its different but way better!!! I had the PS3 MW2 and i've seen a lot of glitch like the ice skating, going thru a rock, javelin and the elevator just to name few.. so its not only happen on 360.

Im done with MW2..IW havent fixed anything and made this game sooo much worse than cod4.
Cod4 the best FPs, followed by WAW..

More BS !! it happens from Host to Host and done due to the party feature in XBL, just like patch 1.07-08 tried to fix. It cannot happen on PS3.

I believe that glitchers should be banned from the games until they stop cheating. Online is supposed to be fun but why cheat, it only proves that you really suck! Cheating never solved anything but anger for the rest of us honest MW2 players. I stopped playing MW2 and I am playing Battlefield bad company 2 and have not played MW2 since. I have not seen any glitchers there plus the game is better! Good for EA, at least we can count on them not IW!

oh my god i have joined so many of these!!! and they just suck. so i just cook a grenade and run for suicide hoping for a kill. they really need to patch this before the new map packs and double xp week are out
What did you expect? This game was really sloppily made and is just BAD. That's why I continue to play CoD4 instead.
The semtex is not a glitch all u have to do is hold a semtex and walk around with and when you are dead you will drop the grenade

The "ice skating" is a mod. Hell, when I go online I have God mode and can fly. That usually ticks people off. haha
These glitches are useless. If ur really good a suicide bombing glitch shoudnt affect your game play...

I'm done with this game anyway. Battlefield Bad Company 2 is proving to be a lot more fun, and it's less of a twitch-fest.
Notice that despite the characters ability to "ice skate" through the map, he is still losing and furthermore gets killed at the end.

I was in a match a few nights ago where this guy was getting a nuke like 7 kills into the match nearly every time. He claimed it was a care package, and that anyone that got a care package would get a nuke. I heard mention of a jTag editor, and these were only happening on the newly downloaded maps, so I'm fairly certain he had both hacked the maps, and was either host, or was continually bridging the host...
They already have your money so they don't really have any reason to fix the glitches. I feel sorry for day one supporters.

whatever it may be but i found the game interesting and worth playing. every game have some or the other Glitches but it doesn't mean that the game is not good!I agree that CoD is far ahead still every war game has some or the other specialty that becomes its USP.
