Yakuza 3 for the PS3 has been one of the most talked about games this generation. After releasing the first two entries of the series worldwide on the PS2, Sega has remained silent on the topic of Yakuza 3 receiving the same treatment. Partially due to low sales in North America for the first two titles, the chances of seeing Yakuza 3 see release here were dismal. Now, some new hope is beaming through via Amazon.de. A current listing on Amazon suggests the game may see release in March 2010. The listing is from Amazon.de which would mean it's in Germany. Previously, the site did have all the PS3 Slim information up a couple weeks prior to a formal announcement by Sony, so this could be another misstep by Amazon.
With Sega hinting at a possible release out of Japan via PSN before the TGS, a Spring 2010 release is quite feasible.

Yea but we've also seen a lot of "false" listings before... I guess we'll just have to wait and see :-)
If Sega releases this game in spring.. they'd be shooting themselves in the foot..AGAIN. It would be wise to release it BEFORE..or AFTER the march releases of: GOWIII, FFXIII, and supposedly GT5...
If this game gets released in March it will get easily over shadowed by the bigger IPs. I have high hopes for the Yakuza Series..but i vowed to myself that i wouldnt pick up Yakuza 1 and 2 until they confirmed Yakuza 3 (and now Yakuza 4) stateside. No sense in delving into a series that begins worldwide and ends on the land of the rising sun. Good luck Sega..Yakuza is your last hope for money out of my wallet. Play it smart.
they should release the game worldwide regardless of sells, sure it takes alot of money but japan sales make up for it either way and sega is a big enough company to do it.the reason why y1 and 2 sold poorly is cause they didnt advertise well and 2 came at a bad time where the ps3 is the main focus
this just proves my theory that developers are idiots.
they complain that yakuza 1 and 2 sold poorly.
so how do they fix that problem?
they release yakuza 3 in the busiest month of the year.
GOW3 or yakuza 3.
GT5 or yakuza 3.
battlefield bad company 2 or yakuza 3.
just cause 2 or yakuza 3.
i think i know which games i will be buying in march, and yakuza 3 wont be one of them.
I can see this being released in Europe, but why should Sega release it if the last 2 sold poorly? Also, I wonder why there's no talk of an Xbox 360 version? Most cross format games seem to be better on the Xbox 360, so I only buy exclusives for my PS3 (not that there's many exclusives...). And lastly, Yakuza is very similar to Shenmue, yet Sega hasn't released number 3. Yakuza is proof that a Shenmue 3 is possible, so they've jumped the gun by releasing the Yakuza series.
this game has to come out in EU and USA. i played No.1 sold my ps2 afterwards got a 40 gig ps3 and yakuza 2 came out. i was dissapointed that i missed No.2 but still i want No.3 NOW!!
OFFICIAL!!! PLEASE SPREAD THE NEWS!!!
SEGA EUROPE annouces the release of YAKUZA 3 for the 26 march 2010, with all content download !!!
From playerone.be/PlayerOne/
"SEGA Europe Ltd.. today announced the European release of the game Yakuza 3 for March 26, 2010. The PAL version also benefit the whole downloadable content available in Japan. This episode is the real result of the first two available for the PlayStation 2 since we will find Kiryu, the ex-yakuza, now the manager of an orphanage on the island of Okinawa. The return to the front of the mob to compel the return to business, in a game that looks visually stunning. The combat system is much more dynamic than before, with load times between some limited exploration and confrontation. The incessant conflicts, clashes with the rival clans, the police and the local mafia again immerse the player in a dark and mysterious universe, where only the fittest survive. Yakuza 3 is due exclusively on Playstation 3."
