Jacksonville's newest video game retail store, Gorilla Games, is already home to quality entertainment and exceptional service. Jon and Karen Ossi, the owners of this local franchise, have everything - from the newest and most anticipated releases, to dusty NES cartridges from 1985. They buy, trade, and even repair used games and consoles. They pride themselves on customer satisfaction and reputable employees. Membership discounts. Friendly customer care. They even manage to sneak a few special deals in through Facebook if you're a fan.
This weekend, July 10, Gorilla Games will be hosting an in-store Halo 3 Tournament. Starting Saturday at 2pm, two-player teams from around the city will attend, meet, and then blow each other up.
Most retail stores would like to get customers in and out of their store as quickly as possible. It's good to know that there are stores out their trying to appeal to the desires of gamers, who shouldn't be pressured into spending large sums of money on overpriced video games. At Gorilla Games, gamers are encouraged to 'hang out', and try games on their in-store consoles.
Players will find gaming much easier in the comfort of the GorillArena. 42'' HDTV's with cozy gaming chairs convey an exemplary gaming utopia. Current expectations are between 50-60 people. However, the more people who attend, the bigger the grand prize will become. So be sure to phone a friend, get a teammate, and head over to San Jose Blvd. this Saturday. Also, remember to get there early for some practice!
The address is 12230 San Jose Blvd. Suite 1, Jacksonville, FL 32223

They know not what they say. Go unto them and use your plasma sword-like fists of righteous thunder to smite the unbelievers.
Missed this one while I was at work. Oh well, nice article and good publicity for Gorilla. They need it to compete with GameStop. Wonder how GameForce is doing... :S
You mean Game Farce? =P
been to the store no one has a clue about gaming this place is a joke. I went in to pick up a copy of Red Dead and they were out of them, also asked about when they were getting the new xbox slims and they told me i had to place a deposit. Wont see me there ever again
Retail stores CAN sell out of popular games. It happens. Bottom line, the people at Gorilla Games are super nice and the prices are exceptionally reasonable. Be a quicker consumer next time, and pre-order to make sure your copy is waiting on you.
