Hello veterans.
There are a bunch of homeless veterans out on the street that are new to the scene. When I say new to the scene I want to tell you about homeless veterans since Vietnam. Vietnam veterans make up over half of the number of homeless veterans in the USA. Here is some simple math. Fifty (50) out of one-hundred (100) homeless veterans are Vietnam Vets. One-hundred (100)out of three-hundred (300) homeless people are veterans. Sooooooooo, who makes up the other half of the homeless veterans statistics?
Answer, one-third of the remaining homeless veterans since the Vietnam war are now women, That is right, women. Going back to simple math , 50 out of 100 homeless vets are Vietnam veterans. That means that 17 out of the remaining 50 homeless veterans are women. Why is that you might ask.?
I'll tell you. You were thinking that might be the case, right?
Since Vietnam, women have been sent to combat right along with the men. Sid by side in the trenches, side by side sleeping on the open road with the rest of the American warriors driving truck convoys thru the enemy territory, side by side on patrols where the enemy could care less of they kill a man or a women, although it is way more fun for them to capture an American woman warrior than an American man Warrior. Think about that. Suddenly we have women serving in combat. Suddenly we now have a lot of women veterans that are homeless.
What that means is that their husbands/boyfriends/significant others have left them for some reason or another.
Vietnam Veterans can tell you why that is the case.
These women have PTSD. Of course the V.A. doesn't realize that is a significant issue. In fact, they just simply don't give a damn. The V.A. has their head stuck in the sand right on up to their butts. Heck, they don't do anything about the Severe problems the men have over PTSD right now unless forced to thru legal action. So who cares about women and all their related female issues anyway. Remember PTSD was recognized as a real threat to the health of a veteran years ago. It is typical of the V.A. to recognize that problem mostly because they were ordered to, finally, by a high government official, and then they recognize it only to do little to nothing about it.
Yes Veterans, 10,000 American warriors that have seen combat in a foreign country are living on the street. I think you are thinking that 10,000 homeless veterans isn't that much in the scheme of things but keep in mind that these are 10,000 women warriors.
I remember when I dropped out of college to join the Army to go to Vietnam to kill gooks, stop the Red Tide of Communism as well as make the world safe for our way of life and our women folk. The world has changed since then.
Now our women folk are going out with us to do the very same thing, help protect our way of life and our children. One thing still hasn't changed though. The V.A. still doesn't give a damn about our Veterans returning from combat in a conflict our wimpy spineless government politicians don't have the stones to declare a war.
War is hell they say but being a veteran in the USA isn't much better, just ask the 10,000 women veterans that are homeless and living in the streets of your cities and towns.
Just one small point I would like to add to this article. The majority of these homeless women veterans are mothers and have children. If they just have two children we should really try to make that mental leap and say that there are 30,000 homeless veterans out there. Don't you just wonder what those children are learning about the American Government first hand....today?
V.A. Wake up! Snap out of it! You have a responsibility, live up to it. On the Karma scale I would hate to see where the V.A. stands. Of course I don't believe in Karma, but I do believe in a final accounting of our actions to a higher authority. Gladly, I do not have to be held accountable for this, yet another, disgrace against our American Veterans.
Be Blessed;

Harm, I have been researching some interesting topics on the internet. One of them happens to be the number of studies that the VA has conducted on Women's healthcare at the VA. From what I could find, it appears that the VA has been studied and studying women's healthcare issues since 1982. Now if we did some math on what it cost to do to those studies, I would hazard a guess that healthcare at the VA for women would have improved. The time for studying is over! It's time to implement
Hi! I posted a reply to you re: VA Article (National Military Health Examiner)... I just was reviewing info about this very topic. The wars in A-Stan and Iraq have created several key issues concerning our female veterans that were not present in previous wars and absolutely HAVE to be addressed! I provide military health information on a site called militaryhealthmatters.org I didn't add link b-cause I'm not writing this to 'plug' my site (even though the site I do 100% on a voluntary basis.) I'm a medical/research analyst (currently unempl....). (Thank you for your service and GOD BLESS YOU!!). [Pls see my reply to your comment :-) ]ke
Hello Faithful readers and all you new ones! I have been getting emails over the women with PTSD and homeless and with children or just being homeless. The response I have received was interesting enough to cause me to want to prepare another article on the topic. I will email Karen and post an article on Monday that will tell it like it is and therefore make the weenies at the V.A. mad agt me again. Oh well, so what. I am mad at them too.
One would think that they would get tired of all the bad press and clean up their act, but noooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Please watch for my article on Monday.
Thank You and,

Hi Harm - could you give me the articles or sites that you cited? Thanks!
Congratulations on your beautiful report. Bravo.
The VA & its paid poverty Pimps will not help homeless veterans unless they are willing to be labeled for life as CRAZY, ADDICTED, and ALCOHOLICS who will convert to the 12-Step religious AA/NA cult & "Jesus Saves" nonsense...
Homeless veterans need IMMEDIATE REAL HOUSING, REAL TRAINING, and REAL JOBS; NO MORE PROGRAMS!
