The Happy Dog is just a bit outside of Lakewood located on Detroit Road and the corner of 58th Street. A big beautiful bar that hosts live music ranging from jazz to good old fashion Rock 'n Roll, but what really catches your eye is the menu.

Their list of toppings include items like fruit loops, chunky peanut butter and potato chips, but if you're not the adventurous type they also have items that every foodie, vegetarian and vegan alike, would love to try. Like the warm pineapple-ginger-currant chutney,  habanero pickled red onions, or the korean kim chee. Bet you never thought to top a hot dog with that at home.

The best part about this lengthy list of toppings, "Vegetarian and vegan options include Field Roast vegan sausage or housemade falafel" right there on the menu. Twelve little words that may as well read, "Come hang out with your friends, have some good food and enjoy these beautifully hot Cleveland nights."

Picture it, one Field Roast vegan sausage topped with saffron aioli and caramelized onions, along side a pint of Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold Lager (one of the 24 beers on draft and of the 75 the Happy Dog has on hand) as you sit back and listen to some great live music... Is there a better way to have a delicious mini-vacation in the middle of the week?
