Looking for a delicious vegan meal in Baltimore? Head to the Yabba Pot in Charles Village for home-cooked food with Caribbean flavor.
The Yabba Pot’s dining room is a casual, comfortable space full of small café tables, each with a unique and vivid painting on its surface. Local art hangs on the bright orange and green walls, and reggae is almost always playing. Their menu changes daily; food is served cafeteria-style in generous portions. They occasionally dish up some truly unusual entrees; the citrus soul “ribs” are tangy and satisfyingly chewy, and the “un-fish” tastes pleasantly authentic. Their menu even claims to include “un-goat,” which I’d love to try. More often, though, you’ll find tofu – whether it’s jerk, curried, or barbecued, it seems to be the Yabba Pot’s most-repeated protein. The Queen’s Greens are a pretty regular item too, and definitely worth ordering. There are always at least four hot dishes available, along with several raw food offerings; feel free to mix and match, as there’s no difference in price point. On the raw menu, the live kale salad is a favorite; a word of caution, though – if you don’t LOVE garlic, this dish is not for you.
If the decision-making process proves to be too difficult, $15.50 will buy you some of just about everything on the menu. If you’re on a budget, though, the best bargain at the Yabba Pot is the lunch box special. This deal gets you heaping servings of two dishes of your choice plus a mountain of brown rice for only $9.50. Or choose from their wrap sandwiches, priced at a mere $7 – the barbecued tofu wrap is a standout.
The Yabba Pot also offers fresh, homemade juices and natural drinks, as well as an array of vegan baked goods.

I love this place
Vegan food with Soul
and Flavor!
Love the place. Kinda don't like the price (thanks to the economy and being otu of work). But even still, the food is good, vegan, mostly live and makes you feel good and full at the end.
