So you are sitting around on a Saturday night, wishing you had something to do. Solution: Arbonne.
Your kids are crawling around your feet, screaming, crying, and laughing all at once. You wish you could somehow have a job to get away from it all. Solution: Arbonne.
You have really dry eczema on your skin, your daughter won't stop complaining about her adolescent acne, and your Oops, I guess we're going to have another baby has sensitive skin and you can't find anything to help. Solution: Arbonne.
What is Arbonne, you ask? Well, it is a certified vegan company (since 1980) that has products which are all botanically based. What is botanically based? I'm glad you asked, because it is important. All of their products contain whole plant extracts. This means that they are more efficacious than most beauty products you may have lying around (by using the whole nutrients from plants they will actually feed your skin. gulp gulp). And don't worry, since Arbonne has been pumping out botanically based products, they've never tested on animals!
Yesterday I got to sit down with Aimie Zinzi and Sarah Cunningham, RVP's of Arbonne, and I got even more clued in to the ins and outs of a company that I can't get enough of!
Now, as some of you may know, the FDA doesn't regulate beauty products. This means when there is a nice label slapped onto it (eg: Reduces redness! Soothes baby's irritated skin! Diminishes lines, fast!) they aren't technically backed up by, well, anything! To save money many companies use unuseful bases such as mineral oil. Well ladies and gents, it does nothing for you. Sure, it stays on the TOP of your skin and feels greeeezy, but that is as far as it goes to help you out. Also, these lovely ladies informed me of something rather scary. What you put on your body goes into the bloodstream within 27 seconds. Yes, 27 seconds. So that to-do list you wrote on your hand this morning? In your blood. That "Dora the Explorer" mystery ingredient bubble bath little Suzie soaked in last night? In her blood. So, if you can't recognize an ingredient on a product, why allow it into you bloodstream? With all of these mystery "fragrances" out there, you really want to be sure that you are regulating what goes into your body (and especially the little sensitive mini-me's, because most of the ingredients in their products are crawling with "fragrance" and inaffective "mineral oil"). Well, Christina, how do we go about changing our lives and switching to Arbonne?! Glad you asked, keep reading!
If you live in the Baltimore area, hit up Aimie and Sarah (and no, you aren't really out of it, hung over still, or seeing double, they are twin sisters)! They're consultants who really know what they're talking about. With all Arbonne products you must go through a consultant, and this is actually really important. All of the products require an explanation, think of it like a prescription, you wouldn't want to go put something on you that was really for something else! This way, you are good hands, they know what each product does and who it is good for. And, for your benefit, Arbonne doesn't market their products to keep the cost down! How thoughtful...
Arbonne doesn't just have lotions and potions, either! They have a full line of baby products, make-up, weightloss and nutrition, skincare (aka lotions and potions), aromatherapy, and detox. If you reall wanted, you could give yourself a whole body makeover. For health's sake, of course. Honestly, since I started to use these products I've really been suprised. I got one of their Seasource Re-Mineralizing body lotion and lazily used it as not only body lotion, but face lotion as well (because I ran out and didn't want to spend money on more) and I was shocked that it worked better than many of the lotions I've previously used! My pores never clogged, my face never felt tight, and I actually got compliments on my complexion!
An even more exciting tid-bit about the company is they are well-known for their awesome Arbonne parties. If you are looking for an excuse to get together with girlfriends and drink some good wine, this is your answer (follow my hostess tips here)! When having a party the consultants come over and basically hang out with you and your friends, explaining the products, and allowing you to try any of them. So you won't go to an Arbonne party and expect to make a "pity buy", rather you'll want to spend your last paycheck on this stuff! You'll feel like a teen again and actaully learn how to take care of your skin.
Maybe you'll decide to join the company too! Yes, you too can join Arbonne and make a second income, or first if you are looking for a new job! Being an Arbonne rep. is not only fun, but it has its benefits. Aimie and Sarah started doing this in 2005 as a way to have guilt-free mall money, and now they have made it to RVP's and have a company car (And by company car I mean a brand-spankin-new Mercedes. Glistening white as a symbol of pureness; the company's core value). As they started their business they realized there was true income potential and a really great opportunity for a mom who wants to provide for the family, AND be there at the bus stop in the afternoon. And you really have the option as to how much you want to work, imagine that! If you want to make lots of money, you'll have to be more consistent with it, but if you are looking for that guilt-free mall money, you can make that happen too! With all of these great aspects, Arbonne is a company that you'll really want to stand behind. Now, GO SHOP!

Love Arbonne products. Consumers should check out inkylovesnature(dot)com Their products are 100% Vegan and certified too. Also in EWG's Skin Deep Database and the Good Guide. Totally paraben free, fun products that does party plan also!
Arbonne is big into talking about how "natural" their products are. They'll even tell you how horrible everything else is on the market. However, read their ingredients list... just as many chemicals and unreadable words there too. If you search online for safe, earth-friendly products and reviews, you'll find that theirs are listed as just as dangerous to your health as many other drugstore products --- they're just 3 times the cost.
Arbonne does not state that they are "chemical-free". Vitamins have chemical names, too, Sweetgirl. What Arbonne IS, is free of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals like mineral oil, phthalates, petrolatum, parabens, toluene, benzene. Their products are also free of animal products and by-products, formaldehyde-donating preservatives, PABA and even Gluten. You'll never see the term "Fragrance" on the ingredients list to hide hundreds of toxic chemicals. Look up your products on www.cosmeticsdatabase.com to find out how toxic they really are. You'll only find one Arbonne lotion shown there that was removed from their line years ago. They have ZERO tolerance for toxins and allergens. I strongly suggest that everyone read their product labels and do their own research. Google "Endocrine Disruptor", and you'll find information from sources like WebMD to back up what I'm saying.
