Charlaine Harris, the known author of the Southern Vampire Series that was developed into the HBO True Blood Series is gaining fame with another series as well.

Her Harper Connelly series has been chosen to be adapted into a graphic novel by Dynamite Entertainment .

The Harper Connelly series was published in 2005 and is the story is of a young female, named Harper. She was struck by lightening when she was younger and gained the power to be able to find a dead person as well as to know how that person died.

She sets off across the country helping police and family find out what happened to their loved ones. Her step brother Tolliver helps out as manager and many times as her protector.

The stories at times are very gruesome and emotional. And even though they may ask for her help many view her as a freak of nature. There is a lot of drama and action as well as romance that mirrors that of the True Blood Series.

According to the official press release Dynamite President and Publisher Nick Barruci said the following in regards to the partnership with Harris...

"Charlaine has thrilled millions of readers with her novels, and millions more with the adaptation of her Sookie Stackhouse series as the TV Show known as True Blood. We at Dynamite are honored to be the first comics publisher to be granted the right to adapt her novels in to the first ever comics adaptation. And Charlaine's kind words on our comics and confidence in our ability to execute will be rewarded with Dynamite's placing the best talent available on these adaptations!" Stated Dynamite President and Publisher Nick Barrucci.

As mentioned here last week, Harris was chosen to become part of the Female Force Graphic Novel along with Anne Rice, J.K. Rowling, and Stephenie Meyer. Harris is a great author who has worked hard to finally get the recognition that she deserves.
The graphic novel will be available at the Dynamite Entertainment website later this year.
The Grave Series is available now at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Joseph Beth Booksellers.
