Seth Grahame-Smith, the author of Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter will be jumping from president's to hot sexy aristocrat when he takes on the task of screenwriter for the upcoming remake, Dark Shadows.
Dark Shadows is the first paranormal soap opera that was on ABC from 1966-1971. It starred Jonathan Frid as the sexy aristocratic vampire, Barnabus Collins.In Tim Burton's adaptation, the sexy and oh so hot Johnny Depp will be playing the role of seducer.
This dark gothic tale entered the lives of many house wives who would have normally found it to be a little shocking and too scary to watch. But, it broke barriers that left women wanting more and more from their vampires.Many say that this television show along with Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles brought vampires back to life.
The movie has been in production for a while and has had a slow start. Let's hope that the Dark Shadows Convention in California this past weekend helped garner more followers and possibly encourage the movie producers to hurry up and get moving on this movie because unlike Barnabus we are not immortal.
For the Lexington fans, the DVD's are available via Netflix and on line at Amazon.com. However, there are no local places to purchase the gothic soap.
It's nice to think that a sexy Kentuckian like Johnny Depp will be the next Barnabus Collins.

Heheh, my grandma says she used to watch that show. And she's the kind of woman who thought "The Dark Knight" was demonic. So the show did make quite a breakthrough.
As both a huge Dark Shadows, and Johnny Depp fan, I'm really excited about this one!
I can't wait to see this. Tim and Johnny have been such a wonderful duo that now I can't wait to see what happens now that they are a Tripple Threat.
