According to Alan Baltes' website, Acting Auditions, The Twilight: Breaking Dawn movie, has been given a go and will be filmed in 2 parts. The movies will begin filming in November 2010. Visit his site for audition information.
There have been lots of speculation and after researching have found that Deadline Hollywood has also confirmed that Breaking Dawn will be split into 2 movies. But Summit has not yet confirmed the 2 part movie.
The exact, dates, location and director have not been officially announced There are rumors but no confirmations as to it possibly being in Vancouver.
Baltes states that Sunswept Entertainment is being brought on as the production company along with Summit and Imprint Entertainment.
Characters such as Edward and Bella's daughter Renesmee will need to be cast as well as the vampires from various areas of the world such as the Egyptian, Irish, and Romanian vampires. There is a possibility for more werewolf characters as well.
Baltes' website has been used by the broadcasting department at National College on several occasions to help with audition information and has been a very reliable source thus far.
Breaking Dawn is written in 3 parts: Bellas' s marriage and honeymoon, Jacob's viewpoint of Bellas' pregnancy and delivery, and Bella the vampire's point of view.
Lexington's National College's Fantasy Book Club hosted a Breaking Dawn Book Release Party in conjunction with Waldenbook Store. They had auditions for the parts of Bella, Edward, Jacob, as well as the other major characters of the book. There were numerous students and community members interested.
The party consisted of scenes from the first 3 books as well as "possible" scenes from Breaking Dawn. Amanda Wintz produced and directed the event while local actress Kayla Perkins and Justin Witt played the roles of Bella and Edward.
The event was a huge success and garnered lots of local press. The picture to the left was chosen to be added to Stephenie Meyer's Official Web page.

Alan Balte is not a good source of information regarding Breaking Dawn casting. He has proven himself wrong on this issue time and time again with not only Breaking Dawn but The Host, Eclipse, and others as well.
Well, I used him because a graduate of mine at college used him as a source and she did audition for some parts.
But as you notice he was not the only source I used.
I researched and found Destination Hollywood as well as another website.
I am sorry if you have had bed information from him before but as it was my job to find these students jobs at the college I did use him and it was successful- not that she got the part but that there was information that was correct and networking used to help her.

You are the one who is wrong. I have not been wrong time and time again. Rene Haynes personally gave me the casting information, and Eric Hayes (owner of Cast It Systems) also gives me exclusive first-right publishing of official casting calls. There is a disclaimer on my page because information does change in this industry frequently and do my best to keep it current at all times.

I check Alan's site frequently. I have not seen casting information yet for this project, for that I do not blame Mr. Balte at all. They will more than likely not announce the auditions until after they announce who is directing. Why? Because directors will sometimes have a casting agent in mind that they want to use who may not have been used in the past. Your article and others like it are giving false hope right now. I find it annoying to read articles like this from people who do not know the business. In almost all of the auditions I have been to, both small and big, the director is in the room most of the time because they are also part of the casting process. The stars of the film don't know anything about the film except for that they have been told to be ready for november. Try reporting on fact for a change. Everything you said about Balte's site and Breaking Dawn casting has been on his website since the fall and is nothing new.

I actually spoke to Mr. Balte today. If you click on the link that says 'website" it will lead you to his website and you can see that it was updated yesterday. I am sorry if you did not check the links. This is how I ensure that it is verifiable and fatual.
I have done lots of referrals to this site as well as dealing with this business. I also have a few students who are very well known in this area and I did speak with them. I also worked in a college with a television broadcasting faculty and confirmed that I am correct. But as always -- things are different in each area and in each company. someone needs to say it. twilight is a good book. HOWEVER, there a haze of fanaticism surrounding the readers that needs to be dissipated as its clearly become an unhealthy example of horde mentality. Ever see one of those shows (or more appropriately movie of the week) where a drug addict is being dragged into a rehab center against their will and they're screaming "I'm in control! I don't need any help!" while they kick at the orderlies(SP) in the white coats? That's them. its up to the rest of us (the clipboard bearing social workers) to shake our heads and hope the damage can be undone. i love cedric diggory.
oh! and as an additional note, if you're REALLY that worried about who will play the characters in a movie that hasn't been filmed yet...you have too much free time on your hands. i lol'd
Can this franchise get any more "Cornier" than with "Breaking Dawn?"
I guess if Summit waits too long, they believe this franchise would lose money, but I don't believe that, they just need a good screenwriter(s), director(s), and not just by name. They have the time.
Just like Warner Bros. & J.K. Rowling for the "Harry Potter" franchise, I believe that making the final chapter "Breaking Dawn" into two parts is only for one reason, Summit Entertainment, Melissa Rosenburg, and Stephenie Meyer want more $$$$$$$, not more fans.

Yeah i clicked that link at first. Which lead to my comment. I have read that exact information on his website several times already. It was not new. Sure maybe he gave a month for when they think they are shooting but the director information he has up there has been there for ages.
I know how to click a link, that you very much. I read his comment about how information changes often and I made it a point to say that I understand that but what you posted was not updated. I follow him on Twitter so when he updates on anything I get a notice and haven't seen anything about breaking dawn since before November, I check that exact website almost daily or atleast a few times a week. First I don't understand why you are getting so wound up. I am reporting what notices that I get. I usually don't report on Twilight because it's not the "vampire" type that I prefer but my readers email and ask me for information.
It may or may not have been on there a few months ago- but I reported it as I received over 11 notifications on the information..so I guess all of us may be a little late in the game. I didn't title it NEW or EXCLUSIVE. I just put information.
But Mr. Baltes has graced me with an interview later this week and I am sure he would be glad to defend his credibility which is ultimately who you are attacking. I would be very welcome to you asking him anything that you have asked me here. He is following this article as well.

I can see your point about separating the two movies out. I think they left a lot of good parts out of the first movies and am going to be waiting to see how they are going to break up Breaking Dawn.
As I said Summit hasn't confirmed it but it would be good and bad.
Good because they can get more story bad because I hate movies being split. Harry Potter is probably my favorite book and movie of the fantasy genre and I am not that thrilled about them doing HP into two movies either.

My daughter, Layla, is 7 years old, and IS Renesmee Cullen. When reading Breaking Dawn, I got chills imagining Renesmee, not only because her physical description is Layla in every way, but everything about her personality is Layla as well. I would love for Layla to be able to audition for the role, but despite all efforts, I cannot seem to find where to send her resume and headshot.
