News came in early this morning that '80s teen star Corey Haim is dead at age 38. The police were called to St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank around 4am this morning to look into the incident.

Reports say that his mom found him in his Southern California apartment. Reports allege that he died of an accidental drug overdose. Nothing can be confirmed until a toxicology report is done by the coroner's office.

Haim had suffered a 2001 drug induced coma and it had been rumored that he had been in drug rehab approximately 15 times but was supposedly doing much better.

Haim was part of the Two Corey's team in the '80s. Corey Haim and Corey Feldman were best friends and starred together in many movies including Dream a Little Dream and License to Drive.

But of course his most famous role was of Sam in The Lost Boys. He played a teen who recently moved into a vampire infested town in California. The movie shot them to stardom. Feldman reprised the role in The Lost Boys: The Tribe but Haim only had a small part in the alternate endings. The alternate endings added fuel to the rumor that he would be returning for a Lost Boys 3: The Thirst. However, he is not listed on IMDB as being in the movie. But there may be changes in light of this event.

Anna, a local fan of Haim said when asked about his death, "It is sad how so many of the teen stars of the '80s have died of overdoses either in their prime or when they were trying to get their life together. I remember having posters of both Corey's plastered all over my bedroom walls. He will be missed."
