With Vampire Diaries on hiatus until January and the CW marathon still over a week away, there is certainly a thirst for any information about the series. Newsweek has a Q & A with Ian Somerhalder, including a video of the interview.
The article mentions that Ian was Boone on Lost, the first crash survivor to die on the island. It cleverly then mentions that he's dead again, this time as a vampire. Of course, he'll be making some appearances on Lost again this season, which he mentions in the interview.
Ian recalls growing up in New Orleans, an area rich in vampire lore. He began his career twenty years ago, working as a model at the age of ten. He shares details of his first acting job that he's never talked about before.
He reveals how playing Damon has eased the sting of not being chosen for True Blood enough that he can now watch the show. He also tells the story of how he almost didn't get the role of Damon. Vampire Diaries without Ian? That's unthinkable.
Vampire-Diaries.net also has a scan from Chatter In People Magazine titled "6 Revelations From Ian Somerhalder." It lists his favorite food, his ideal getaway and his hidden talent. Check it out here.
Keep checking back here for more articles to get you through until the show comes back in January. At least there are the reruns, right?
