This is a very interesting clip from a local news broadcast. The video speaks for itself, but I will add that these types of decisions should be in the hands of individuals and their families. In a recent town hall meeting with Congressman Brian Baird, a member of the audience confronted him, saying "I also heard you're going to let us keep our own health insurance. Well, thank you. It's not your right to decide whether or not I keep my current plan or not." I think that is the underlying issue at stake with many objections to the healthcare plan. Let me keep my money and I will decide how I want to spend it. When the individual is responsible for a very small proportion of the actual cost of the healthcare, his or her ability to choose is diminished.
As a brief introduction, this video tells the story of a woman with cancer who was ready to try a chemo drug that could help her prolong her life. However, she received a letter stating that this drug could not be covered by the Oregon state health plan. The letter also mentions that she could receive physician aid-in-dying, or assisted suicide.

Look at the difference in body language between the doctors being interviewed. It is easy to see who is trying to hide something.
hello
Its terrible they can help you die but not help you live longer.
yep sad
the cake is a lie
This is crap. It really needs to be changed, come on. You can tell the one guy didn't really want to talk about the health plan.
What a blessing though, the woman gets her meds no charge. WOW, just wow.
its sad how oregon is infuencing people to give up and die isntead of fight for life. there just taking steps backwards instead of forward and its sad.
