H.R. 1207, a bill proposing to audit the Federal Reserve, has been steadily gaining momentum ever since Texas Congressman Ron Paul (R) introduced the bill on February 26, 2009. The bill currently has 285 co-sponsors. One of my earlier articles was on this bill and the great support for it among house members. Even though the Federal Reserve has so much influence over our economy, there has never been a detailed audit and inquiry into its activities. This bill would allow for that to happen.
It looks like that might actually happen. According to the Campaign for Liberty, "House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank has officially agreed to hold hearings on H.R. 1207! The hearings are tentatively scheduled for Friday, September 25, at 9:00 a.m."
See if your representative(s) support an audit of the Federal Reserve by checking the Library of Congress' webpages regarding H.R. 1207 and S 604. As more develops regarding these hearings, look for follow-up articles.

Why do I not put much faith in this actually happening? Keep us up to date...
This is THE first, necessary step to restoring sanity to our economy. We have the right to know what the Federal Reserve, a private corporation, is doing with our money. This transcends partisan politics. Contact your Senators and tell them to support S 604--the Senate's counterpart to this bill. www.senate.gov

people are starting to open their eyes in regards to the Federal Reserve. Funny how the Fed. Reserve actually got started in the appropriately named Jekyll Island, Georgia. The Fed is a two faced beast that smiles to our faces while preparing to devour our children and our country. God save us all and audit this monster!!!!
If it is conducted by Barney Frank, what is the point, then. I can't wait for the talking points to come out... and this, after so many years waiting for it. I don't know how Ron Paul keeps fighting the good fight after so many years!
