Renewable energy source takes off: BlackLight Power

Renewable energy source from BlackLight Power
BlackLight Power has physics-defying renewable energy resource
Blacklight Power

There's lots of talk these days about renewable energy sources. Yet few have heard of BlackLight Power – the $60 million dollar company which has come up with a breakthrough renewable energy source which defies the laws of physics.

Almost exactly a year ago, CNN News published a fascinating article revealing the potential bright future for this growing company. Here are a few excerpts:

Imagine being able to convert water into a boundless source of cheap energy. That's what BlackLight Power, a 25-employee firm in Cranbury, N.J., says it can do. The only problem: Most scientists say that company's technology violates the basic laws of physics. Such skepticism doesn't daunt Dr. Randell Mills, a Harvard-trained physician and founder of BlackLight, who recently claimed that he has created a working fuel cell using the world's most pervasive element: the hydrogen found in water.

Mills says he has a market-ready product: a fuel cell that produces a chemical reaction to alter hydrogen atoms. The fuel cell releases heat that turns water into steam, which drives electric turbines. The inventor claims this electricity will cost less than 2 cents per kilowatt-hour, which compares to a national average of 8.9 cents. The business, Mills says, has attracted $60 million in funding from wealthy individuals, investment firms ... and it is no longer seeking money. BlackLight's board of directors reads like a Who's Who of finance and energy leaders.

On BlackLight Power's board of directors are Michael Jordan, former CEO of both Westinghouse and Electronic Data Systems (Fortune 500); Neil Moskowitz, CFO of Credit Suisse First Boston; and Shelby Brewer, former CEO of ABB Combustion Engineering Nuclear Power. Just two days ago on July 30th, BlackLight Power issued a press release announcing its sixth commercial license agreement. It states, "To date, BLP has licensed the rights to produce approximately 8,000 megawatts of electrical power to five utilities. Collectively, these companies own, purchase, or manage electric power production of approximately 7,600 megawatts and provide service to approximately 985,000 customers."

With a board of directors filled with big names, investments over $60 million, and contracts in hand, why haven't you heard about BlackLight Power and its highly unusual new energy resource? Could it be that the media and the global elite don't want people to know about energy sources which could seriously threaten the current oil-dominated energy economy? There is ample evidence that this may be the case. I suspect we have not heard much in the news about Blacklight Power because cheap, abundant electricity will threaten the emerging green religion.

Thank you, Fred, for your documentation here and through your link of all the suppressed energy sources at www.wanttoknow.info. Why indeed aren't these being covered when the information is verifiable and so useful? The hypothesis of collusion among current energy companies, the media, and political "leadership" matches the facts.

Congratulations to BlackLight Power. The five utilities are likely to have done careful Due Diligence.

Chava Energy is also developing fractional Hydrogen technologies. The possible existence of fractional quantum states in the Hydrogen atom (f/H) has been debated since the advent of quantum theory in 1924, according to Ronald Bourgoin, a graduate student of the late Dr. Robert L. Carroll (a mathematical physicist who consulted with our group for 12 years). Dr. Carroll first described “inverse quantum states” in his 1976 book, and wrote a paper with that title in 1990, suggesting they would one day prove extremely important. Dr. Randell Mills, the founder of BlackLight Power Inc., claims there are 137 inverse principal quantum levels. Bourgoin showed the general wave equation predicts exactly that number.

Mills has an extensive theory which is both impressive and controversial. He gave the name hydrinos to Hydrogen atoms with the electrons in a lower energy state. Chava uses the

Another consipiracy? Do you really believe the media would not be fighting to splash this all over their front pages if it wasn't a con? Do you think that the science community would not be buzzing with excitement over a paradigm shift in physics? Blacklight Power have been pulling the wool over people's eyes for many many years and somehow continue to string their charade along.

Not at all, with cold fusion still ringing in peoples ears (although work on this still goes on) scientists are very wary of linking themselves in any way to such things. Blacklight has been at this for years and unlike many has a theory...I have watched Mills for many years and the very few scientists who have actually taken the time to comprehend the maths ( rather than most who just deride from an armchair without any experimentation) have been shown by Mills to be incorrect in their math, Mills seems to have an order of magnitude greater understanding.

Most of the revolutionary ideas in science have been discredited by the scientific community when they were announced. What matters is not whether physicists in the world believe or not believe in Randy Mills. What matters is that Randy believes and keeps working on the plan. either way, this has ben an exciting story to follow. And quite funny to read the comments of those who believe the theorists....

I'm the Inventor of a light weight, extremely frugal and efficient, variable compression, Tri-Brid, Green engine with direct energy recovery and it is directly compatible with braking energy capture for automotive use.
It can be easily retro - fitted to existing Gas Guzzlers as well as to new vehicles.
Fitting ultra efficient engines to new vehicles ONLY stops things getting worse. Cheaply upgrading existing stock REDUCES the current unsustainable levels of green house gasses.
Variable compression allows my engine to run on virtually any gaseous or liquid fuel inc' Bio Digester gas or Petro-Chem waste gas.
We can all produce our own Organic Waste Gas from a simple bio-digester, my engine will convert this gas, cleanly and cheaply into mechanical and electrical power .
Most people think if it sounds too good to be true then it is. Well not this time, I'm not a crank just an engineer with an idea too big for me to handle on my own.
I'm looking for serious industrial partners

This was cut off earlier -

Mills has an extensive theory which is both impressive and controversial. He gave the name hydrinos to Hydrogen atoms with the electrons in a lower energy state. Chava uses the term f/H for the fractional hydrogen species, as opposed to hydrino, since we are not convinced that Mills’ theory accurately describes the same particle we are seeing below the Bohr orbital. Regardless of what fractional Hydrogen orbits are labeled, or prove to be in fact, they allow hundreds of times the power of Hydrogen combustion with oxygen, or used in a fuel cell. Using fractional Hydrogen, one barrel of water becomes the equivalent of hundreds of barrels of oil.

The late Arie de Geus invented an entirely different energy production method that also utilized fractional quantum states of Hydrogen. His Patent entitled: Method and Apparatus for the Production of so called Fractional Hydrogen and Associated Production of Photon Energy, may describe the simplest possible f/H d

, which could be called a plasma discharge tube. His invention involves a mixture of various simultaneously formed fractional states of Hydrogen that are claimed to be extremely stable. He claimed his work was proven in many laboratory experiments and independently verified.

The Chava work with fractional quantum states, employing a completely different approach from Mills - has opened a path to a new concept called the Self Powered Internal Combustion Engine (SPICE). This is an evolution of successful experimental work done thirty years ago.

This concept, when validated, will lead to a cost-competitive alternative to fossil fuels and nuclear power. Importantly, it can be sized perfectly for use in automotive applications – even utilizing a modified reciprocating engine, but with the ability to sell electricity to the grid when parked, and to supply pollution-free renewable power.

This concept of an automobile that needs no fossil fuel or battery recharge has been a long-tim

I'm concerned about these hydrinos that we barely understand. I read in the BlackLight Power website that they're so light they'll float out to space, but what about the ones kept to be used for industrial purposes (which the website also mentions)? How well do we understand the consequences of hydrinos interacting with normal matter? Are there any byproducts from any of the industrial uses? and are the byproducts different from normal matter because they contain hydrinos? What potential is there for negative consequences such as toxicity?

I'm also concerned that if the world pervasively uses the BlackLight Power technology or anything similar, and so pervasively electrolyzes a lot of water continuously without the oxygen and hydrogen recombining to get the water back, it will be continuous depletion of the planet's water supply. I realize there's a lot of water available, but what if this is done to satisfy the entire growing global energy demand for hundreds of years or more?

I am deeply disturbed that you would report on a fraud such as this. The anomalous temperature increase is due to the reaction of Raney nickel with water. This has been know for over 50 years and of which I have worked on when I was at a very large and well known oil company. The only technical person there in the video has not actually endorsed this phenomena but merely described it. Just because this company has raised $60 million and has worked on this for over 20 years does not mean it has achieved anything. As P.T. Barnum remarked many years ago, "there is a sucker born every minute". I would appreciate it if you would report on reproducible, tengible achievements so as not to mislead your readers or give false hopes. After all, credibility is still an important virtue.

Is there anyone with the possibility of checking the progress in installation of the BlackLight Power technology in the first or second utility company that BlackLight Power sold its technology to at the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009.
I believe both companies are publicly trading companies, therefore it would be very significant for shareholders in the companies to hear of progres made with installation of the technology, since this should quickly help improve the companies financial results.

To answer lebirchan's question, The licenses that have been granted are to Akridge, LLC and Farmer's Cooperative of New Mexico. I am not aware of any other licenses granted. Both companies are not utilities! Akridge, LLC is a real estate investment company and Farmer's cooperative buys electric from other utilities. It appears that neither of these organizations are equipped to produce electricity for the public consumption. It will be curious to see how and what these licenses really are.

I have no education in this arena, so I feel silly writing these 2 questions. (1) Why doesn't Blacklight simply provide a sample of hydrinos to naysayers and settle the controversy over their existence? (It seems simpler than the theoretical/mathematical route.)(2) If Hydrinos are indeed non-reactive, does this imply that an atom can have multiple steady states? (I would think hydrinos would want to absorb energy to return to ground state and be highly reactive.)

" (1) Why doesn't Blacklight simply provide a sample of hydrinos to naysayers and settle the controversy over their existence? "

I'm not a BLP supporter but they actually have provided samples to government and industry over the years.

The real problem is credibility. They are simply not believed and it takes only a few mocking comments from the better known academics to scare the lesser known ones away. Thus, it matters little what Rowan University tests prove because someone from MIT will just say "Where the heck is Rowan University" and "That simply cannot be" and then people simply move on. That's the reality. It will be very hard for BLP to convince skeptics even if they are right. So, it's not just evidence that matters, but evidence plus credibility.

To date, BLP has formed EIGHT contracts with various power companies, and Rowan university just released a new verification of the process in which they themselves created and tested the fuel used in the system, verifying that Hydrinos do indeed appear to exist. The entire process has now been verified from start to finish by independent research, and is no longer a "secretive" process.

Name one con artist who has delivered a working device to a buyer, who's successful use of said device has encouraged more people to buy it? Eight contracts formed since the first one in March in New Mexico. If it hadn't worked exactly as it was claimed to, would more companies be buying it?

In a joint statement, Dr. K.V. Blacklight and Randy Mills have been around since the 90's. The reason you have not heard of a working prototype is that is is none - the laws of physics are funny that way. No matter how hard you wish there are states below -13.6 eV in hydrogen, there just aren't any. You would think that the fancy board of directors would be a little more scientifically savvy. The fact that they are not is really one of the more interesting aspects of the while business, The agreements with several power companies to produce energy using the "blacklight process" aren't worth the paper they are written on, and I would be interested to know (as, I suspect, would the shareholders in these companies) the terms of these agreements. I would guess Blacklight got very little from the power companies other than a modicum of legitimacy by advertising these relationships on the web.

There is no grand conspiracy to suppress this technology. In fact just the opposite - there is no mechanism in the scientific community to protect the investing public from crackpots other than to warn folks in fora like these.

I have seen all challenges to mills where he is shown to be mathematically incorrect overturned and seen by him overturn the challenge and the error in their maths clearly explained by him. There are few people would are capable enough to even begin to understans this math

It dosent seem a stretch to me to believe that if electrons can jump to outer orbits that there can be inner orbits that are non-radiative. The suns corrona burns 10 times hotter than the surface of the sun...it is unknown why this is by modern science, Mills theory predics this and the UV bands that are also shown to eminate from the sun.

Time will tell. Relax. The people associated with Mr. Mills and the people who have chosen to invest in his science are sophisticated and thoughtful humans. They can actually think for themselves. There is growing hard evidence from legitimate, credible organizations at arms length that there is something there. Instead of calling him a crackpot and demeaning yourself by resorting to name calling, relax and give it time.
