Remote viewing and psychic spies in CIA
Remote viewing involves a set of precise protocols used by the U.S. military and CIA to develop psychic spies. As bizarre as it may seem, top government officials have dabbled in ESP and the psychic realm for many decades. The first government-sponsored remote viewing program began in 1970.
Remote viewing is a technique whereby trained individuals enter into a meditative state to access subtle levels of consciousness in which they are able to somehow sense remote locations and describe what they see there. The ability to view objects remotely has clear advantages for intelligence gathering.
The original impetus for U.S. remote viewing programs was the discovery by military and intelligence services in the 1960s that the Soviets were spending millions of dollars and having considerable success in using ESP and psychic spies to break through U.S. security barriers. Not wanting to be left behind in any spying or intelligence capability, no matter how exotic, top government officials contracted in 1972 with SRI (Stanford Research Institute) to develop the first of several remote viewing programs which operated under code names such as Project Scanate, Project Grill Flame, and the Stargate Project.
Select officers, including CIA Director Admiral Stansfield Turner and several top generals, eventually became strong supporters of the remote viewing program as an effective means to develop psychic spies. Though the official existence of this project was kept secret until 1995, millions of dollars were poured into what became a major government undertaking using both military and civilian personnel.
Through remote viewing programs, a set of scientifically based protocols were developed by which many people, even those without prior psychic abilities, were able to describe remote objects with some accuracy. A good example of how this is done can be seen in the four-minute news clip below.

I didn't see this coming! Seriously, Fred, this is another example of great reporting to reveal the sophistication of our government projects where they put their attention. The idea of government incompetence is a cover-story to distract the public from two things:
1. Holding government accountable for carrying out the public will.
2. Taking attention away from areas such as this so people will not think the government capable.

Sorry to be off topic, the article was very cool though, but right next to it was an add for free dental whitening products....dickhead I know, I signed up, then I looked up what it was, it was a scam...were going to bill me $87.90 next month, I managed to get out of it but.....does examiner have any control over the advertising?....saw it on the site and thought it was genuine....

I think you need to salt-and-pepper this column with a bunch of "allegedly"s. Remote viewing is a crock, just like all alleged psychic powers. If you are going to point to U.S. defense and intelligence funding of such projects, you should carefully explain to your readers that the agencies which do this operate on a "no stone unturned" philosophy, and are willing to put up with frequent dismal failures in order not to overlook any small hope of success.
You also need to ask, if remote viewing actually worked, why is Osama bin Laden still not in U.S. custody?

This is BOGUS! The only documented certified remote viewer is shunned by the US Government. He has also been ostracized by the remote viewing community abroad due to his beliefs. His name is Aaron C. Hanson and here is a demontration he did for the In Search of... SciFi series on Psychic Spies. You can find this by searching his name on the search engines.
As for Osama bin Laden being found by remote viewers, Aaron C. Hanson just recently burned the OSB data publically in protest of the Obama administrations decision on December 1st, 2009. The picture of this and his commentary can be found on his website.

Aaron's accuracy is undisputed and has yet to be rivaled. All of these remote viewers have since bit the dust. They have become nothing more than charlatans chasing the next remote viewing course payment. What's worse is that they refuse to recognize that they are total sellouts. The US government has not been utilizing psychic functioning since the advent of the faith-based administration of Bush. They sincerely believe it is of the Devil. Total nonsense!

I have tryed to contact many authoirties on this matter. In 1998 George W. Bush and I had a peace treaty with several different bonds that I was allowed to have at age 18. I was going to use all but 1 million towards the stolen oil leak in Kuait. 911 was caused because they never recieved this money. My lawyer wanted to run for president. He said there would not be peace and that I should give him 60% of all my money so he can run for president. He uses computer codes ,, he was an accountant lawyer.
