You may be asking yourself why the Tiger Woods car crash is a big deal. Should Tiger Woods have given a story to authorities that was logical and reasonable, there is no doubt this story would have been put to rest by now; even with Tiger Woods’ celebrity status. Britney Spears has crashed a few cars in her day, even ran over a paparazzo’s foot and that coverage didn’t last more than a day. Tiger Woods, however, has not explained where he was going, what he was doing, why he crashed, how his wife was involved, or addressed the allegations of an affair with Rachel Uchitel head on. Therefore, the media circus surrounding this situation can be placed back at the feet of Tiger Woods.

If Tiger Woods wants the media frenzy, speculation, and rumors to end, he’ll have to confess to the mystery behind the crash. Until he does, it will remain headline news because everyone knows that there is something to the story and no one is talking.
Another aspect to the Tiger Woods car accident that has kept it in the spotlight is the fact that charges haven’t been filed yet. Tiger hasn’t yet been charged with a minor traffic violation, something that is routine in these cases. Should this have been nothing more than a simple Britney Spears, “Oops, I hit it again” moment, he would have faced a traffic violation charge and have been on his way to the next golfing game.
