Headlines from The Washington Post read, “White House Adviser Van Jones Resigns Amid Controversy.” ABC news writes, “Under Fire, Presidential Adviser Van Jones Resigns.” NBC Washington writes, “Obama Aide Van Jones Resigns after GOP Attacks.” CNN writes, “White House Adviser resigns amid 9/11 controversy,” and The Huffington Post reads, “Glenn Beck gets First Scalp: Van Jones Resigns.
Glenn Beck has been on a tireless campaign to expose the “Green Jobs’ Czar” on his radio and television program. On July 23, 2009, Glenn Beck aired a program titled, “Your Science Czar is a Commie.” In the program, Glenn Beck addressed Van Jones book, “The Green Collar Economy: How One Solution can Fix our two Biggest Problems.” Beck went on to describe Van Jones argument as the best methods for fighting urban poverty and global warming is through creating millions of green jobs. Beck then went on to warn his listeners that their country was being hijacked and that things such as ‘green jobs’ and ‘healthcare’ were only a front. Beck ended his July 23rd show by referring to Van Jones as another ‘Reverend Jeremiah Wright’ and a black nationalist. The idea, Glenn Beck purports, is that if an entire community is redesigned with ‘green energy’ and everyone is forced to go ‘green’ for the economy, then we have essentially become a socialized nation. However, Glenn Beck concludes that it is beyond socialism, but rather ‘black nationalism.’
By September 1, 2009, Glenn Beck took comments made by Van Jones at the 2009 Power Shift conference to present his view that Van Jones is essentially a ‘Hugo Chavez,’ who presents a new black nationalistic movement. Here is a quote from the 2009 Power Shift convention that Glenn Beck used on his September 1st program.
“All we do is take out the dirty power system, the dirty power generation in a system and just replace it with some clean stuff, put a solar panel on top of this system. We don't deal with how we are consuming water, we don't deal with how we're treating our other sister and other brothers' species, we don't deal with toxins, we don't deal with the way we treat each other, if that's not a part of this movement, let me tell you what you'll have. This is all you'll have. You'll have solar powered bulldozers, solar powered buzz saws, and biofuel bombers and we'll be fighting wars over lithium for the batteries instead of oil for the engines and we'll still have a dead planet. This movement is deeper than a solar panel, deeper than a solar panel. Don't stop there. Don't stop there. No, we're going to change the whole system.”
Glenn Beck described Van Jones speech as “code language Marxism.”

We need to let go of the simpering guilt about the poor performance of blacks in this nation and just do what we KNOW is right. We allowed our good nature and guilt elect a socialist black man as president just because he was black... and we are seeing how smart of a move THAT was. Reverand Wright and his "god damn America" lines should have been enough of a warning, but now the communist czar being exposed for what he is should be the icing on the cake. No more giving into black nationalism or guilt. We need to be strong and take America back.
I have never seen anyone "fired" from the WH? Is this not political correct. Jones should have been escorted out and not allowed back.
Keep up the research and the good work. If this would be a republican president he would not have lasted this long. Let's get back to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. We do not need socializm in American, and whom ever does not like our system should just leave, the doors are wide open. Stop trying to change our system. Get rid of all the czarz, the country is broke and we are paying outrages salaries for them to spread communism. We need some reform but not where we loose all of our freedom.
Jones should not have resigned. He didn't do anything that most people would do.
I support Van Jones. He is not a racist. He calls for coalitions among people of all races and economic classes. How is that "racist? It is an interesting "communist" who preaches individual empowerment and responsibility and entrepreneurship. Changing the system to him means from one which exploits and consumes to the point of its own self-destruction to one which edifies and improves the world and its people.
