Not being one who looks for U.F.O.s or aliens, I must admit that this creature has me thinking. The story 
begins in Panama in a community known as Cerro Azul. There is no doubt that this unidentified creature looks as if it is straight out of 1977’s Spielberg classic, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Is it another Montauk Monster? Just what it is, however, no one knows; not the zoologists who are examining its corpse or the teens who state that they killed it when it came towards them. The organism looks unlike anything currently known to man, and the resemblance towards humankind’s depiction of aliens is uncanny. Could this have possibly been some form of life from another planet?
Some think that it might be another Montauk Monster, another unidentified animal that surfaced in Montauk, New York in July 2008. Others think it might be an animal that had lost its fur, and possibly one that was in the middle stages of decomposition; however, that doesn’t coincide with the teens' story that the creature was alive and moved toward them. According to the teens, last Saturday, while playing in a creek, they saw the creature and it began moving towards them. The teens became scared and began throwing rocks at it, and killed it. The story continues that the children threw the creature into the creek and left, but later returned to photograph it.
Zoologists are unsure what it is, but have stated that it resembles a dead fetus. The truth to the mystery might be in whether or not the teens have exaggerated their story or not. Should the truth be that they came upon the unidentified creature’s corpse, it could easily be an animal in stages of decomposition. However, if their tale that the alien like creature was alive and moved towards them, and they killed the creature, that would be completely different. From the image, it is difficult to tell if there are signs of injuries that would have occurred from rocks.
Whether or not Panamanian zoologists will perform DNA testing on the creature has yet to be announced. Undoubtedly, scientists worldwide are going to want to examine this creature’s DNA.

It's a sloth. Other sites show more video with different shots. It's smaller than it appears in the photos. It clearly shows the "claws" which look exactly like a sloth which can be found in Panama. It's just an f'd up sloth.

It's obviously a sloth. If you look at the construction of the claws and the overall body shape they are identical to a sloth.
Makes you wonder if these kids are going to be charged with something, like cruelety to animals? OR myabe even killing an endangered species?

Perhaps it is from the recently-discovered species, the pygmy three-toed sloth having a total length between 49cm-53cm? It is classified as Critically Endangered on the Red List of 2006. Obviously the teens should be charged for either providing false statements or animal abuse.

it's a turtle who was abducted by aliens who thought it was a sloth. when they figured out their mistake, they kept it's shell to make alien ashtrays and bed pans and then dumped it in Panama. these are the same aliens that helped fake michael jackson's death but different than the ones who helped fake obama's campaign

Also, the Montauk Monster was identified as a hoax. It was a dead dog or racoon body used for an indy low budget movie promotion.

The animal looks to be approximately 2-2.5' long (body, not arms/legs), three claws at the end of each limb, and from a region where sloths can be found. As to why it has no body hair and a distened rectal cavity is unknown (decay, physical abuse..) For the teenagers sake, they had better hope their story is discovered false and the creature was indeed dead when they found it.. but maybe Panama doesn't have any aninmal rights laws like the US.. /shrug

Where are your brains? Its by water and obviously has a lot of water bloating so you have to indentify it by its length/joint features. The only animal in that region that fits the mold is the panama Sloth.
