U.S. Intelligence official says future attempted terrorist attack is certain (video)
During a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on threats to the United States held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, Senior Intelligence Officer, Dennis Blair who serves as the Director of the National Intelligence, stated that the likelihood of another terrorist attempted attack, such as the Christmas Day underwear bombing attack, within the next three to six months was certain.
The panel was led by Senator Dianne Feinstein who serves as the Intelligence Chairwoman, and the panel included CIA Director Leon Panetta, FBI Director Robert Mueller, and Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair.
Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) asked the panel during the hearing, “What is the likelihood of another terrorist-attempted attack on the U.S. homeland in the next three to six months, high or low, Director Blair?” Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair answered,” An attempted attack, the priority is certain, I would say.”
Senator Feinstein turned to director of the CIA Leon Panetta, “Mr. Panetta?”
He answered, “I would agree with that?”
Senator Feinstein continued, asking the panel if they agreed, the consensus was unanimous, all agreed.
