Tiger Woods survives car crash, can he survive PR fiasco (photos, pictures, videos)

Tiger Woods survived his Thanksgiving weekend car crash with bruises and scratches, but will he survive this PR fiasco as easily? Tiger Woods has always been a private individual, but for many this is the worst example of public relations anyone has witnessed in the country. When the accident first occurred, his fans rallied around their televisions worried that the golfer was in critical condition. Slowly and sketchy, details were released regarding his condition, and that is all that has been released. Sketchy details that state Tiger had cuts and scratches from a Thanksgiving night car accident that had no cause were released. What might be worse than the vague details surrounding the incident, is the vagueness of the statement with which Tiger Woods has addressed the situation.

Tiger Woods will more than likely keep his sponsors, but will he keep his PR team (if it’s a team, at this point, it may be possible that he has no PR team and is making his own decisions, yikes!). The statement that Tiger Woods offered an apology yet never explained what he was apologizing for. However, his fans and other motorists who may share the road with Tiger in the future, may rest assured knowing that whatever it was he did, Tiger won’t be doing it again.

The silence has been the source of speculation and innuendo that continues to grow stronger each day. What should have been a quiet matter between Tiger has grown into a nationwide PR fiasco as Tiger has yet to explain anything. Tiger took full responsibility for the car crash, yet he never stated what he was responsible for. He apologized without defining what his transgressions were. He denied rumors and allegations without identifying them.

Tiger Woods will undoubtedly survive his car crash, whether he can survive the PR fiasco is another story all together.
