Tiger Woods paid off Rachel Uchitel and that’s why Gloria Allred cancelled the press conference for her client yesterday, according to recent comments made by Allred’s daughter, attorney Lisa Bloom. Lisa Bloom says that she knows her mother on a personal and professional basis and she said this was the first time she has ever seen her mother cancel a press conference. TMZ and Radar Online had reported that the night before the press conference was to go live, phone lines lit up between Tiger and Rachel’s reps. Lisa Bloom states that she believes the lowest figure Rachel would have garnered for her silence would be a cool one million. Not bad for a woman who just enjoyed a luxurious Australian vacation, reportedly bought and paid for by Tiger Woods.

Lisa said that her mother, Gloria Allred is obligated to keep details regarding the nature of the deal confidential, but she is not obligated to remain quiet. She stated that the paparazzi caught Gloria Allred as she was leaving Tiger Woods’ attorneys’ offices on Monday night. Lisa confirmed that they were negotiating the deal. She also referred to paparazzi catching Gloria Allred leaving Rachel Uchitel’s hotel on Wednesday night, the following morning the press conference was cancelled.

Lisa said that she believes negations were underway and then the news of Rachel Uchitel’s upcoming press conference sealed the confidentiality agreement.

Though Rachel Uchitel had not admitted to the relationship publicly, the National Enquirer broke a story that the two were in Australia together. Many believe that it was that story that sparked some sort of domestic situation between Tiger and his wife, Elin. The car crash followed, and the mystery ensued. Tiger Woods has refused to address his infidelity publicly, stating that he is sorry for his transgressions.

Now that Rachel has been paid at least $1 million dollars for her silence, we can rest assured that other women are contacting their attorneys hoping to cash in on their one night stands and sexual rendezvous with the pro golfer.
