Tiger Woods loses Masters, says he’ll take time off for evaluation (video)
Tiger Woods lost the Masters on April 11, 2010, placing fourth. After the competition he spoke with CBS and expressed his disappointment in the loss. Phil Mickelson won the Masters finishing with a score of 16 under par.
Tiger Woods had a strong start but lost steam after Friday. His wife, Elin Woods, refused to join him at the Masters and it appears that there is difficulty ahead for Tiger’s marriage. Recent reports and photos showed Elin Woods boarding an airplane as she ventured off for a vacation without Tiger. Now, Tiger Woods states that after a five month golf hiatus, he’ll take more time off for evaluation.
“I entered this event to win and I didn't get that done. I finished fourth. It's not what I wanted. I wanted to win and as this week went on I played worse.” Tiger Woods warily told CBS Sports. “After Friday it wasn't very good. I didn't hit it well enough and made too many mistakes around the green. I'm going to take a little time off and evaluate where I go from here."
