Tiger Woods divorce settlement causes debate; the true cost of Elin Woods’ loss
As reports of Tiger and Elin Woods divorce nears finalization, a new debate is brewing across the Internet regarding the terms of the settlement. Publications such as the Sun and Radar Online report that Elin Woods is set to receive $750 million; making Tiger’s series of affairs quite possibly the costliest in history.
Forbes disagrees with the figure.
According to a new report by Forbes columnist Kurt Badenhausen, Elin couldn’t possibly receive $750 million because Tiger isn’t worth that much. The article states that by their calculations, Tiger is worth $600 million.
To say that the Tiger Woods scandal cost Tiger is an understatement to say the least. From the reports of mistress payoffs to the loss of sponsorship Tiger has lost money. More importantly, however, Tiger Woods’ lost his reputation.
The worth of being the world’s sport idol and hero to children everywhere is immeasurable; once, Tiger was that role model. Tiger Woods loss is much more than monetary and it seems trivial to try and estimate how much Elin Woods ‘won’ in the settlement.
Divorce is painful, and its toll is measured in far more than dollars and cents. Whether Elin won $75,000, $750,000 or $750 million, Elin Woods lost her family, her husband and watched as a parade of mistresses were unveiled flaunting their affairs with Tiger on media outlets nationwide.
The true cost of Elin’s loss can never be justified by a dollar figure in a divorce settlement- regardless the amount.
At this time, divorce papers have not been finalized between Tiger and Elin Woods.

Estimate Elin will get $6m per woman that Tiger had affair with. Tiger set world records in everything he did- in golf, in his affairs, & settlement per affair. World record also in jokes about him on the internet & around the world, but sad thing will be the world record in the fingerpointing of his kids when they grow older. I can't even imagine the emotional trauma to her and the kids.
We have no idea what that marriage was like or what the two people were like to each other. As far as the settlement divorce is always about bargaining. Lawyers advise their clients to request something outrageously high so that with the inevitable bargaining that'll go on there will be a reasonably high settlement in the end.

Column on Tiger Woods was well written, it didn't abuse him just stayed the fact that all the other media hounds are not. I feel Tiger deserves what he gets because he will live threw it like any other scandal, someone will come along and top him, remember it any bodies world at any given moment.

He humiliated her in front of the world. Elin deserves compensation for that. Maybe you men should learn not to trash and abuse your wives. Then maybe you'll keep your marriage, wives, and finances. That said, if Sandra Bullock behaved like Woods or Jesse James, you would be highfiving Jesse James for all the money he could be out of her.
Since Tiger had a pre-nup which, according to most reports, is worth 20mil, any money over that amount is money Tiger choose to give to Elin. Also, I do not believe this extra money is to stop Elin from talking to the media. She would already had made a haul giving interviews if that is what she wanted to do. The extra money is probably Tiger's way to apologize and have good feelings between him and Elin and the children.
Why does Elin leave the kids with nannies so often. People give her more credit than she really deserves. She is a gold digger, period. Otherwise she would be considering the childrens' relationship with their father. I have met too many like her and Although I feel Tiger's sex obsession has been sickening, it doesn't make her anymore the angel people portray her to be. We really don't know.
