President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama entertained approximately 2600 children at a White House Halloween special event this evening. First Lady Michelle was adorned as cat woman, equipped with furry ears while President Obama decided not to dress up for the occasion. The couple handed out candy to an anxious crowd of children who seemed just as excited to be in the President’s attendance as they did for the Halloween festivities.
Children began arriving at the White House (which looked very pumpkin-orange) at approximately 5:00 p.m. In addition to White House staff, several celebrities were in attendance, including good friends Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. Sasha and Malia had other plans and there was no mention of where the girls had spent their Halloween.
