Slideshow: Red Carpet arrivals at the Oscars (photos 82nd Academy Awards, video)
Tonight at 6:00 p.m. ET and 3:00 p.m. PT, you can go backstage with Oscar celebrities as they make their Red Carpet arrivals. You can watch the action live from the Red Carpet in the video player below, but you may also interact with celebrities this year through Facebook.
In an unprecedented move, you can interact with celebrities through the new Facebook application and even submit your own questions. Check back at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT to get in on the action. The live Oscar show will air tonight, March 7, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC (check for local listings). The Red Carpet show will air for two hours before the 82nd Academy Awards begin.
The Facebook coverage will continue past the Red Carpet arrivals and you’ll be able to interact with your Facebook friends while you watch the live show. During the live Academy Award show, hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, the video player below will stay on behind the scenes and broadcast ‘Thank you’ speeches by celebrities.
This year’s Academy Awards promises to be an exciting event with ten films nominated for best picture. Combined with the social networking, the public has more chances to observe the Red Carpet arrivals, behind the scene footage, and interact with others throughout the Oscars.
