It was reported Thursday that shots were fired at the home of CNN commentator, Lou Dobbs.
According to NJ.com, Dobbs’ New Jersey home was hit by a bullet on Oct. 5, however, no one was injured during the shooting.
At the time of the incident Dobbs’ wife, Debi, 56, was standing outside the home with a driver for her husband at the time of the incident.
The police report did not indicate where Dobbs, 64, was at the time of the shooting, according to NJ.com.
An investigation determined the bullet hit the vinyl siding near the roof of the home and then fell to the ground. Police said the shot was likely fired using a rifle from a long distance, according to NJ.com.
Earlier this week, Dobbs commented about the shooting on his show, claiming the incident followed “weeks and weeks of threatening phone calls” that were never reported to police.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the matter.
