Shaniya Davis was raped and murdered the same day she was kidnapped, according to information revealed in the search warrant used to arrest Mario McNeill. Mario McNeil is facing charges of first-degree murder, first-degree rape of a child, and first-degree kidnapping.
Mario McNeill is accused of taking Shaniya Nicole Davis from her home in Fayetteville, North Carolina and taking her to a hotel room in Sanford, North Carolina, approximately 40 miles away. According to an autopsy report, Shaniya Davis was raped and murdered. The final cause of death has not been listed on the death certificate, as it is pending further lab results, however, during a presser last night, it was announced that the cause of death is asphyxiation.
Mario McNeill told authorities that he picked Shaniya up and drove her to the Comfort Suites hotel in Sanford. Shaniya’s body was found on November 16, 2009 about 7 miles from the hotel where Mario McNeill was caught on surveillance tape carrying the child in his arms. When the video footage was released, Mario McNeill confessed to kidnapping Shaniya.
Antoinette Davis is accused of selling her daughter as a prostitute and faces human trafficking charges. Shaniya Davis lived with her mother for five weeks. It is unclear how many times Antoinette Davis sold her daughter in sexual servitude. She faces charges of human trafficking, filing a false police report, and child abuse involving prostitution. Antoinette Davis called 911 after Mario McNeill left her home with the daughter and reported her daughter missing.
It is unclear whether or not Antoinette Davis will face additional charges, as she can also be prosecuted for felony murder as her actions of selling her daughter as a prostitute is a felony crime. Due to her actions, Shaniya Davis was murdered, and she can be held culpable in a court of law.

This whole thing is just disgusting. Especially actually seeing pictures of Shaniya's last moments. Little did she know what was about to happen to her. I just can't understand why this guy would want to do what he did, how you can't have even one ounce of a conscience during this. That is NOT human behavior at all. Plus the way he keeps smirking in his mug shot and the court room makes me ill. I don't understand why he had to kill her though, rape is bad enough but to kill to is so wrong.

I feel that the moma and the man that did that to that baby needs to be in jail for life.
Yeah Sandy, my eyes havent stop flowing since it all began. And seeing this innocent child in her last moments...was torture. And you are right, how can this stupid idiot be smirking? It is the devil in him that is smirking. Let's see him smirk when the judgement is pronounced. His sentence should be, all the men in the jailhouse do to him what he did to Shaniya and choke him and then throw him on the side of the road with just a tee shirt on.
There is no jesus, no all seeing god, no allah.....NOTHING. If there were a God, this poor little girl would not have suffered such a fate. When mankind learns to accept this and deal with immoral scum in a rational manner, the world will be a better place. These monsters should be tortured and slowly killed. They should be punished in the most severe sense of the word.
My heart is full of sorrow for this poor girl but I will NEVER look to jesus or god or any other fairy tale for comfort.
My God, my God why has though forsaken little innocent, precious Shaniya. Why should that precious baby endure such harm, pain and suffering. My heart is bleeding, my soul is weak, I can't eat or sleep. What human would do this? What person would inflict such pain and suffering on such a precious angel? I am lost for words, my heart is filled with pain and sorrow, I have shed many tears from so far away. I wish, oh how I wish someone could have done something to stop this man. What has he said, has he apologize, shown remorse. His days will be filled with the same that he has brought upon this child and her family. Oh God, Oh God, where were you, no one could have interveine and stop this wickedness. I pray for her that her resting place be filled with bliss and happiness and forever joy. May God bless this precious child Shaniya.
This hollow shell of a man is the absolute scum bag. He should rot in jail and endure the torture of the other prisoners, but who I really want to see suffer every moment that that little girl suffered is her mother. What the hell is she thinking? Who would do that to their own child? She really has no soul or heart...
If I can help you to understand.... Speaking as a Minister, when one acts on their evil thought and not cast it down, over time their evil grows and becomes darker. The person is then turned over to a reprobate mind. (not knowing right from wrong) At that time, a demon, or demons can enter an open door through their sin. Even making a person to have the strength of 10 men. With their mind taken over; some people don't even remember they did any evil act. When the crime is done, the demon gives back their mind temporary and leaves the person hung with the crime. Until a person realize they are demon possessed, and want to rid their demons them selves; they can't brake free.
So one would have to ask why we are seeing more and more of these type murders. It's because a person gets desensitized through evil movies and such. Parents, these Children are a gift from God. You are responsible for their protection; and the raising of them in the admiration of the LORD. If you don't teach them in the ways of the LORD; they could grow up to hate you. and for the parents that don't teach your child from right from wrong; you will give account before the LORD one day. Freedom does not mean... Do what you want to.... it means to... Do that which is just and up right. So many take advantage of their freedom; doing what they want to and feel like doing. That is not freedom! That... is just a rebellious person who is either untrained by a parent; or one who chooses to be an infidel. America has excused these type people long enough with excuses like; they can't help themselves. It's time we make Americans responsible for their actions in life and not allow them to make untruthful statements and excuses.
