Although no criminal charges have been filed, a Nevada casino worker has filed a lawsuit alleging Steelers quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, sexually assaulted her in his hotel room.
The worker alleged she was given the task of making sure Roethlisberger had a nice trip during a celebrity golf tournament last year. She was working as an executive casino host and a concierge for the American Century Golf Tournament.
She claims he fondled her, grabbed her, and kissed her in his hotel room after asking her to fix a broken speaker on the room’s television. According to the complaint, after discovering the television was working properly, Roethlisberger blocked her way when she tried to leave the room and forced her onto the bed. He then removed her underwear and forced her to have sex with him.
The suit also alleges that officials at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe Resort reached some sort of agreement not to investigate the alleged attack.
The complaint also states that when the employee confided in security chief, Guy Hyder, about the incident, he told her she was “overreacting” and said “most girls would feel lucky to get to have sex with someone like Ben Roethlisberger.”
Roethlisberger’s attorney, William David Cornwell Sr., said “Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone. The timing of the lawsuit and the absence of a criminal complaint and a criminal investigation are the most compelling evidence of the absence of any criminal conduct. If any investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated.”
The lawsuit seeks over $380,000 in medical bills, lost wages, and unspecified punitive and general damages.
The suit includes claims of assault, sexual assault and batter, fraud, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and false pretenses against Roethlisberger. To see the complaint, click here.

Why is this story not getting the coverage it would had it been a Black Athlete? If Black Athlete so much as get a speeding ticket, it's all over the news. But, in this situation, I can't find the story anywhere but here.
wow I have never seen the race card played that fast. this story isn't getting as mush coverage. Because most major media outlets took a spanking on the Duke case. This girl sounds like a gold digger. and why should they prosecute Ben in the media for a money hungry star chaser.
Give me a break. Someone wants to be paid. I guess she doesn't make enough as a casino worker. Why would he have to rape someone looking like he does???
This story is not getting much media play b/c it happend over a year ago and there were no criminal charges filed (it is only a civil suit for around 400k dollars). Right or wrong, many people will think this only a ploy to make money.
you ask me i think that this girl thought "hey I could make a few grand. I mean it would fit since i was suppose to make his stay enjoyable." another thing is this, look it i mean she was probably one of the jealous broads that was suppose to be his girlfriend. However, as all of us do we dont just want ONE girl especially guys with a big enough name as Ben Roethlisberger I mean look at how much money him and T.O have. You ask me its just another girl. heres what aggrivates me the most, Ben Roethlisberger is getting more media for something that had happened a year ago, than the Michael Vick case i think ever got. I bet T.O is mad though, i mean look at ben hes getting more media than the T.O show. Thats just my thoughts though. CJ out.
Whoa, this happened when?? i bet if this was happening to T.O. or even Santonio Holmes, there would be non stop media coverage. Media at there houses and at practice, and everywhere else. I think we all know why the media is being bias,so theres no point in saying it because its like a broken record.
Sorry but after all the stuff about Kobe, I;m thinking a week before camp starts and she comes out of the woodwork? Sounds like a money hungry person to me. He doesn't need to rape someone for gods sake he is Ben Roethlisberger.
I know, I don't see how the civil lawsuit has anything to do with race so just drop it already. The SAME thing happened to Jerome Bettis and I had NO CLUE about it until a few months ago so what about that? haa
