Rachel Uchitel speaks, Tiger Woods alleged 1st mistress grants interview (photos, slideshow)

Rachel Uchitel, remember her? She was the first woman to be named as Tiger Woods mistress. Still can’t keep track of his women, okay, here’s some background information to help jog your memory.

Rachel Uchitel was the woman who the National Enquirer said was having an affair with Tiger Woods and that the two had a secret rendezvous in Australia. Many believed that Tiger and Elin were arguing about Rachel, as the National Enquirer broke the story and Tiger followed it with a single car crash, (some say he hit a fire hydrant than a tree and a number of women and porn stars fell out). Rachel responded to the allegations by hiring high-profile-civil rights-feminist attorney Gloria Allred who gladly met with the New York VIP hostess in L.A. The paparazzi followed Rachel as she departed from her New York apartment, jumped into a taxi, boarded an airplane, landed in California, checked into a hotel, then met with Gloria Allred (see slideshows for the photos). Things culminated when Gloria Allred announced that Rachel Uchitel would hold a press conference, giving many the impression that she would reveal the sordid and illicit details once and for all.

Instead, the December 3rd press conference never happened. Rachel disappeared and Jaimee Grubbs jumped into the spotlight to claim that she was the ‘real’ mistress and had the voicemail to prove it. Rachel has been quietly in the background as a succession of ten alleged mistresses has unfolded. That is until, now. Rachel Uchitel told her side of the story to OK magazine; however, though she speaks she doesn’t mention Tiger Woods by name.

In her interview with OK! Magazine, she explains her views on being the ‘other woman’ and how the scandal has impacted her life. Here is a clip from the interview that will be in the new OK! Magazine on sale Thursday:

OK! The media has been painting you as the “other woman.” How would you describe yourself?

Rachel Uchitel: “In every story, you need a villain and a hero. I’ve been characterized as a villain. People have called me homewrecker, gold digger, tramp, whore. I make mistakes, but I’m not those things. I have very good qualities. When you’re judged by the nation, it’s really difficult. It’s horrible.”
