While the debate continues as to whether or not Tiger Woods’ scandal will cost him sponsors and endorsements, reports state that PepsiCo is dropping their Tiger Woods Gatorade drink called Gatorade Tiger Focus. According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, the Tiger Woods Gatorade drink is being discontinued, but that the decision is not related to Tiger Woods’ alleged affairs. A statement was emailed by Jennifer Schmidt regarding the move. It reads: We decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010.”
PepsiCo says that the decision was made based upon poor performance of the beverage; not for the behavior of the athlete.
Tiger Woods has been the subject of intense scrutiny since his November 27, 2009 car crash. Since then, approximately 10 mistresses have been alleged and speculation has surrounded Tiger and his wife, Elin with accusations of domestic violence, drugs, and alcohol.

Sounds to me like pepsi is just trying to get out of admitting that they're canceling the drink due to Tiger's swing of one too many clubs. It can't be coincidence that this is coming on the heels of Tiger's escapades. They must think we're pretty stupid to buy their story.
