Nodar Kumaritashvili crash video won’t be watched by father (video, photos)
Yesterday, during televised interviews, the father of Georgian luge athlete, Nodar Kumaritashvili, stated that he hasn’t seen the video footage of his son’s last moments and has no intentions of viewing the controversial video. The Nodar Kumaritashvili Crash video has sparked controversy and revealed how viral social media technology has become.
On February 12, 2010, luge athlete Nodar Kumaritashvili practiced on the Whistler Sliding Centre track which is the fastest worldwide. He lost control and hit a pole. Though paramedics were on the scene and provided medical treatment, Nodar Kumaritashvili died shortly afterwards. The event had been televised live and countless people witnessed the tragic and crash firsthand.
The accident has left a dark cloud over the Olympics and yesterday, while the luge competition was underway, heavy and warm rains fell throughout the events. The luge track has been shortened, lowering the speeds of the track, but some feel that the extra steps have come a little too late.
Though Olympic Officials, including the FIL and VANOC, have ended their investigation, citing human error as the cause of Nodar Kumaritashvili’s death, changes have been made to the track to increase its safety. Some readers have pointed out that if the track was safe to begin with, those additional changes would not have been implemented.

Have some class. The kid was living his dream. He is a true champion. You're a pathetic excuse for a human being, troll. Have a heart. Man, I can't believe I have to call out a fellow American. Classless troll.
As the Vancouver 2010 Games come to a close. I want to let the family of Nodar know he will never be forgotten. We are so sorry for your loss. I hope that his spirit is kept alive to remind us that we need to take care of our athletes. To do what we can tp keep them safe so they can compete without barriers of fear or danger.
