More trouble for Toyota vehicle recall as Prius has problems (video)
There’s more trouble ahead for auto giant Toyota as they continue to discover more problems with their vehicles. The vehicle recall has proved to be the largest in history and has left consumers in a state of fear, panic, and confusion. Toyota had earned its reputation of being dedicated to quality and high standards, and consumers on a global scale are wondering how so many mistakes could have been made. Consumers aren’t the only ones questioning Toyota; the United States Congress has a few choice questions for the leading auto maker as well; all this while nearly 100 owners of the hybrid Prius have reported problems with the vehicle.

In addition to the eight Toyota models that have been recalled for sticky accelerator pedals (these models are separate from those involved in the floor mat recall); Toyota announced yesterday that there is a problem with the Prius. Toyota states that the problems with Prius result from electronic brakes that cause a delay when someone steps on the pedal. According to the latest Toyota news, only 2010 Prius models are affected.
Though Toyota has handled the recall as if it weren’t serious and that there were only a few rare incidents regarding faulty accelerator pedals, consumers disagree. Reports are surfacing across the nation where Toyota owners feel their vehicles were involved in accidents due to faulty pedals. Congress has announced a hearing on February 25, 2010 to explore Toyota’s role in the manner further.
