As U.S. golfer Stewart Cink celebrates his win at the British Open, his wife Lisa Cink and their children were by his side beaming with pride at his victory.
Lisa is an athlete in her own right, playing tennis and softball while growing up. She and Stewart have known each other since they were teenagers and both attended Georgia Tech.
Stewart told Golf.com “It’s not for everybody, but it’s been great for Lisa and me. We got married and started a family while we were undergraduates at Georgia Tech. Back then, we had nothing. Now we have a lot of years to look back on and can really appreciate what we have together.”
The couple has two sons, Connor, 15, and Reagan, 12, and live in Duluth, Georgia.
Stewart Cink beat out fellow American, Tom Watson, 59, by six strokes in his first major tournament win.
