Despite recent attacks and questions as to whether or not Iraqi forces are ready to rule their own country, the Iraqis are obvious in their blatant joy that they want U.S. soliders to get out of their country. Today marks the official pull out of approximately 130,000 U.S. troops. Not only are the Iraqis rejoicing, celebrating, and dancing in the streets; the Iraqi people have declared to day a national holiday. Even with rising tensions and conflicts, it is clear that the Iraqis are joyous to have U.S. troops withdraw.

Comments
It is misleading to say that US troops are withdrawing from Iraq: they are, more accurately, pulling out of certain towns and back into more defensive positions, to be employed when needed. This is not a withdrawal, but yet another stage in the movement to possible withdrawal.
