According to WPIX of New Jersey, the father of the young boy who accused Michael Jackson of molestation was found dead. Evan Chandler, the boy’s father, was found dead on November 4, 2009 at approximately 5: 35 p.m. According to reports, Evan Chandler died from a self inflicted gun shot to the side of his head and the case is being handled by authorities as a suicide.

Evan Chandler’s son, Jordan Chandler, was a close friend of Michael Jackson and then accused him of molestation. The case was settled for an estimated $20 million dollars. Reports state that Jordan Chandler claimed he was molested by Michael Jackson during their friendship in 1993. Jordan Chandler also filed a restraining order against his father, Evan Chandler after stating the his father had hit him on the head with a 12 ½ pound weight.

A felony complaint was filed against Michael Jackson on behalf of Gavin Arvizo, another child who accused Michael Jackson of child molestation, on December 18, 2003.  Though Jordan Chandler did not testify in the trial, evidence regarding his case was used.

Michael Jackson was indicted on April 21, 2004, he was found not guilty on June 14, 2005 after the jury deliberated for a period of 32 hours. Deliberation took one week. After the verdict was read, Michael Jackson’s attorney, Thomas Mesereau Jr., told news reporters that his client was innocent and always had been innocent.

Since Michael Jackson’s death, there have been rumors circulating that Jordan Chandler admitted to lying regarding the molestation charges. There has yet to be any proof to confirm that Jordan Chandler admitted he lied.

Perhaps the guilt finally caught up with him. The lies he told ruined Michael Jacksons life and are rumoured to have started his drug problems through the stress involved. Its digusting what people will do for money.

I hated this guy, but it's not right to celebrate a man's death. I wish he just would'a came clean.

There has yet to be any proof to confirm that Jordan Chandler admitted he lied.~~

Or any proof that MJ was inappropriate. The guilt must have got the best of Chandler. Let us not forget that the description of MJs genitals provided by Jordan/Evan were not a match. Any parent who saw a man's hand on their son's crotch while sleeping (as was alleged) would not close the door and call their attorney. Three acts in three years is highly unlikely and not the pedo profile. The case didn't go to court because Jordan refused to testify. He also refused in the '05 extortion attempt.
Let us also not forget that in '05 Mesereau had witnesses lined up to testify that Jordan told them his parents made him lie and that he'd never speak to them again. In fact he was granted emancipation. Later filed a restraining order against Evan for hitting him in the head with a 12# dumbbell and spraying him with mace.

PLease correct your information. MJ met Jordan chandler in 1992 and accused him in August 1993, after that MJ had no contact with him. And MJ's insurance company paied 15 million to the Boy not MJ.
But anyway yes guilt can eat a man up untill he can't take it anymore. That is why this man this greedy man has shot himself!

Desparate for money, and determined to get the $20m he'd requested from MJ, but never received; Evan filed a second suit claiming MJ broke the confidentiality agreement, which was thrown out. But, Chandler found a way around the agreement by having his (previously estranged) brother write a book.
Let's not use Chandler's death as another opportunity to rank on MJ by misrepresenting or omitting crucial information.

Not the best outcome, definitely NOT the best outcome! People who still BELIEVE MJ did it, would consider this mere conspiracy, not out of guilt or retribution...sigh!!

Oh Goodness. The settlement, which was paid by Michael's insurance company - despite his protests - was for 15.3 million, not 20. It was 1.5m to each parent, 5m to Larry Feldman for legal fees, the remaining 7.3 to Jordan.

*Jordan filed for and was granted emancipation less than a year after he refused to testify in a criminal trial.

*Jordan's mom was called to testify in 2005 and told them that he had not spoken to his parents in 11 years. She had nothing the least bit incriminating to say and ended up helping the defense.

*Jordan lives in in NY and is quite vocal about the extortion plot.

*The prosecution tried to illegally allow hearsay evidence from the 1993 case by saying Jordan was out of the country.

*MJ's defense warned that they had 3 sworn witnesses - Jordan's friends from NYU - ready to take the stand and that they would defend MJ on Jordan's behalf.

*Jordan called b.s. on the "out of the country" story and alerted the paps to where he was, the next day his pictures were seen all over the internet, smiling for the camera with friends in CA.

*Evan got scared, tried to control Jordan by telling him he was dying and needed him to move in.

*Two months after Michael was acquitted Jordan went to court and filed for a restraining order because his dad sprayed mace in his face, tried to choke him, and threw a 12.5 lb weight at his head...

It shows so easily how Karma hits back. However, I won't be surprised if stories come up that MJ's ghost killed this guy.

Anyways, they say once the body is liberates the soul, the soul is free and pure. So, RIP Mr. Chandler.

who cares if JOrdan admits he lied? He & his father couldn't confront MJ and testify against him in that 2005 trial-- proof enough they were scared to confront MJ and faced his d efense team.

JOrdan has never been cross-examined & the harpies of the tablid press just spewed this Jordan allegations at face value.

    Not surprised.

One can bear guilt for only so long. But now that Evan is dead, Jordan is the only one who can make a public statement to clear Michael's name. Michael was always innocent, and for people to still accuse of such things... this will never go away until Jordan comes clean about it.

I really hope he does. I don't care if I'm a middle aged woman by then: just some day, some day, I hope for him to tell the truth.
